    is the foam safe for play after it cools down

    • @HowTo-D2
      @HowTo-D2 4 месяца назад

      It is not recommended to touch or handle the foam. This is because the hydrogen peroxide used in these experience is higher concentration than normal - and - some of the unreacted hydrogen peroxide could be present in the foam and surrounding areas. Hydrogen peroxide at this concentration can be an irritant and is not safe to touch without protective gloves. Please remember to follow all manufacturer safety labels and use precautions. Enjoy your experiments!

      @@HowTo-D2how do you clean up the foam then? I’m doing this for school

    • @HowTo-D2
      @HowTo-D2 Месяц назад

      You can clean it up like any soapy mess, just with water and a rag for example. Remember the foamy material from the reaction is basically soap and water. I think the previous comment was asking more about playing with the foamy bubbles. It's not recommended to play with it just in case there is some remaining H2O2, however clean up is fairly straight forward. You can also use gloves while cleaning up just to be on safe side.

    • @HowTo-D2
      @HowTo-D2 6 месяцев назад

      Hi there, yes unfortunately the calcium continues to build up. I occasionally take a Brillo / scouring pad to wipe away the build up. It's sort of my regular maintenance in between re-sealing periods. I will usually reseal once every couple years so long as I go out and do a wipe down once every couple weeks or so. Thanks for watching, and for the comment.
