In the matrix the humans were fed dead humans. Thats how the humans got their energy. Since the robots didnt eat the humans. They had no use for the dead ones. Its the same reason we are able to sustain eating cows. They eat the stuff we dont eat and they feed us.

As long as she was in space she is pain mentally because of her daughter's death and had no hope in life. It's the Gravity that showed her how precious life is and being Alive on earth.

His assessmenet of the original Blackhole fails in so many ways. First off, it was a childrens Scifi film, being factual or scientific just wasn't ewver in the plan. If they make another, screw science, make it fun to watch, that's what movies are supposed to be all about.

So you're saying the people who made "The Terminator" movie should have watched "Back To The Future" so they could have improved their plot line about preventing people from starting a relationship in order to prevent a birth of an important character? Well, in order to do that, they would have needed to time travel to the future to watch the "BTTF" movie. Time travel is hard. 🤔 Also, if they had managed to do that, you would likely have scolded them if they didn't give a shout out to the "BTTF" folks in "The Terminator" movie somewhere which would be weird since the "BTTF" movie hadn't yet been made although, after it finally came out, it would be fun for people to realize that "The Terminator" movie gave it pre-credit back in the day. Arrival is less about aliens appearance as it's about our notion or way of understanding time is definitely linked or (not in my opinion , but what I read in it seems to say somehow) bound to language. And it would have been a better movie if it would have left more unexplained... As it's interesting that time in language can be molded, folded or reversed, and that the explanation is just what destroys the power ...it makes it an octopus in a bottle... I hate to say that the tale in the book I find much gracefully written. And I don't want to say more

I think he's a little out of science choosing good rates for movies about time travel. There's nothing scientifically proven that it's possible. Thumbs down for you, Mr DeGrasse!

Arrival had a lot more science and physics advisory than I think you gave credit for. Stephen Wolfram was responsible for the idea behind the circular portrayal of language

Reminds me so much of my younger upbringing. Daddy was a college professor. My mother stayed at home with us. I was a Brownie, my bros were in the Boy Scouts, etc. We were poor but rich in education and learning about the world. Mother taught us to read before kindergarten. In turn, I did the same for my daughter, she is now on a successful career path.

I love Neil but he got the whole point of why they didn't fully invest in figuring out the crop situation as #1 priority. The "Aliens" (Evolved human species that can communicate through gravity) needed humanity to go through the wormhole that they led NASA to discover ages ago in order to transcend and become a Type 3 - 4 civilization. They gave NASA the instructions including led the only pilot capable of making it happen to them. Humanity most definitely could have figured out the crop situation after the WW3 that happen but they would have probably never left Earth and eventually died out as a species anyways.

I wonder if "Black Hole" is regarded watching through a 2024 lens or 1979 one. We do not have to forget, a couple hundred years ago the humans took Earth for the center of the universe and before that for flat. What they did know about black holes in 1979 is nothing compared to what we know now. Also, as a disney movie, it is about entertainment and not scientifical accuracy. Mr Tyson should have left this movie out. And puting Matrix above Martian is "bold".

23:00 I don't know why people of other races weren't in close encounters, but many films have been made with only black people in the past and still today. There are many, many films of that era that are only black people. It's bs to always call out everyone else and not your own.

What if the finite point of data whether cosmic or computer virtual data is wiped by the very definable etching of wiped data in the inter-matter non-dimensional web of interconnected ideas of what it is itself, the description of recombinable stuffs from each of the versions within unique yet repeated without unique interactions from the matter, the matter then recombines and desyncs reach factor of Uniqueness from afar as a reaction sense graphically and visually and and wave energy and it's completed

With Matrix, maybe the AI machine was just sadistic and not using humans for energy efficiency. After all AI was based on human intelligence and perhaps the machine also learned to be sadistic and evil. It just wanted to torcher humans for its own pleasure.
