I'm helping a buddy with his A1 mini but struggling to print first layers with "generic" PLA got any tips?

My filament won't even get to the extruder or the cutter of my brand new A1 printer, been trying to load it all afternoon and it's not working, tried a different PTFE tube inlet as well it's v frustrating cause no one seems to have a problem just going through and loading their filament. Am I a dumbass pls help

Saying that other printers aren't as good as the bambu labs is objectively untrue. Bambu just gives more power to the novice and has it's pros aswell as cons literally like another brand, however I will agree that other brands do have a steeper learning curve, but that is not at all a bad thing, just allows you to gain a greater knowledge in a shorter time due to the need to learn 😅

I got the A1 because getting the A1 mini is pretty small, It really depends on how people use a 3D printer, but if you get too adicted you'll eventually want the full sized A1, but that's just my opinion.

thanks for the link: Please Note: "the portable zip" file lets you run the software "uninstalled" from the folder you unzipped it - to actually install the software, you need to downlaod & run the windows installer file: NB this may get flagged by your anti virus software so pay attention when downloading the .exe

You speak about features of the p1s, then suddenly say “the k1 max variant..” as if it was a variant of the p1s. WTF? This comparison is garbage and outright confusing.

How do you open the file through "New project"? It's empty for me. I can only open it when clicking "Import".

At 2:15 under the Button "process" you see "0,2...X1C". Thats the same what i see on my bambu studio although i have a P1S. The list In the dropdown is ...X1C only. Is that normal? How can i change that?
