This is very interesting to watch in 2024, I literally love the quartet to death , my favourite book in the series is Son. Of course, the quartet didn’t exist at the times this video lol I wonder how I’ll feel in a couple years when I turn into a fully grown adult (I’m 16 right now) and maybe look back at these videos and my comments from the past . I hope my love for these books never fade.

Not all of us! I'm American but my grandmother taught me to read when I was four through a book of myths and legends that include a couple of stories about King Arthur. As I grew older I had more Arthurian books and I read Malory when I was 14. I went on to write a book about Arthurian literature in Latin, Old French and Middle English. So no, not all of us.

It's a shame more people have not heard of the Dark is Rising sequence of books. They're a fantastic read. I re-read them every few years.

This was a pleasure to watch. Susan Cooper lives in the town next to where I grew up (Duxbury). I used to ride my bike down by the marshes where Duxbury and Marshfield beaches unite. I wonder if I rode by her house all the time? The Dark is Rising series was very influential during my childhood. My English teacher read it to me in sixth grade (specifically "Greenwitch"), and I read the entire series after that. I am now a teacher myself, and offer the series of books in my classroom for students to read during "Drop Everything and Read" time in our learning cycle. Thank you, Susan Cooper, for sharing your gifts of writing.

This is awesome! I love all the Al Capone books - am eagerly anticipating getting a copy of the fourth book in the series to read. Thanks for posting the interview. When did it originally air? It looks like the last number in the year is missing in the description :'D
