We all work hard throughout the week, some more than others. So having a weekend off, to do the things that you want to do, are worth their weight in gold. This channel is about the adventures that we get ourselves into, while being family friendly. So feel free to comment with ideas or recommendations on things that you would like to see us do in the future. I hope you enjoy.

We took the long drive out to Miller lake to test out the fishing. Last time i was up there i had my family with me and did not get a serious chance to fish. Took a drive down to Crescent city California to try our luck with some poke polling and rock fishing. Honestly, it was such a nice day out that we probably should have just taken the boat. Took a trip this weekend to fish Big Butte creek in Butte falls Oregon and ended up fishing Willow lake as well.

The reason the road is as bad as it is is because people drive it way to fast. When towing my boat in, and the road is rough like that, it's an hour in and out. 5-6 MPH. The lake isn't going anywhere, slow down and help preserve the road. If everyone would use 4 High on a 4WD when towing uphill, instead of spinning the rear tires, the washboard would not be as bad.

Have you ever considered what we want to see your videos look like everybody else's nothing different but the real fishermen show in detail how they're cooking them up in some good recipes and showing how good they really taste so get with it please

What campground did you stay at? You mentioned a dock. Can you drop pots off of it?
We stayed at the Charleston marina rv park. There are docks there as well that you can drop pots off of. They are at the marina and go quite far into the water. I have had good luck crabbing from the docks there, so you should try it out.

What kind of boat do you have. I watched your crabbing upload and it looked like it was comfortable for two ppl to crab in. I'm going to be full-time rv'ing soon and would like something to get out on the water on. Still trying to figure out if I'm going to have to store an inflatable zodiac or if ill be able to oull something smaller behind my travel trailer. Thanks for the uploads.
My boat is a Westcoaster bayrunner 16 foot. It is pretty light, to the point that i pull it with my car without issues. It handles very well in the bays, but it would have to be a calm day to take it out in the open ocean. And even then, I would stay pretty close to the jetty.
Why do they have a time slot for cleaning crab and why do they limit the facility to only 4 tuna per person?
I think the time slot is to keep people from making a bunch of noise at night. The cleaning station is right in the middle of all the sites, so that makes sense to me. Why they limit Tuna? I do not know.
When I was a kid in south texas we use to pull just 1 claw off rock crabs and put them back
Now they say take both if they are legal size...that way they don't fight and lose.

A little baby crabs come up to Birch Bay Washington show you some 9 1/2 inch crab.
That is quite the drive, but I might take you up on that offer someday.

Hey guys.. I'm planning a trip soon.. the regs are saying non-motorized boats only.. is that a b.s. story to limit the number of boats? If I show up planning to use my 4 stroke are they getting a ticket book out? Thanx
Sorry it took so long to respond. While we were there, we looked all over for regulations. They have them posted on a board at the boat ramp. There is not even a speed restriction at that lake. I do know that there are 2 Miller lakes, one out by Applegate lake, and the other by Diamond lake. We were out at the one by Diamond lake. That might be why you saw an electric only regulation, as I believe that one is electric only. I ran into the same problem when doing my research as well. The good thing is you can fish at night where we went, and it is one of the only lakes in Oregon that will let you. Apparently the big Brown Trout are active at night, so maybe one day I will try that out.

Motors are allowed. Check the 2023 e-regs. No mention of no motors. Only special regulation for this lake is that you can fish 24 hrs a day for all species.

Miller Lake has been on my to-do list for three years, as long as I have been here in Oregon. There is so much great water in this area though I have stayed busy fishing/catching. Great video all all around! Thanks for sharing.
I am glad that you enjoyed the video and thank you for the compliment. Miller lake is probably one of my favorite places to go. The camp sites are big and it is nice and quiet out there. Definitely worth making the trip out there. We are going to Coos bay next week to do some crabbing, so we should have another video out next weekend.
