Agreed, from what I've seen, there are not so many nice paths to get from Telde to the coast on foot

Thanks, I'll check it out when I have a chance. I think I also saw some other paths to get down to the barranco but I heard from someone that the trail itself was not so good. But it's been a while ago, I guess now I have a good reason to revisit 🙂

Hi, thanks for the comment! Yes, I would like to know the correct path, I never managed to get back there and figure it out. The aerial images clearly show something, presumably remains of the old road, exactly at the path indicated on OpenStreetMaps but the place looked very different on the ground 😁 Thanks!

First thing is to avoid running in the road switchbacks reaching La Era del Cardón as the "official" route signals going straight through the road and I don't think that's feasible. - At 01:08:30 you should've kept parallel to the "bush line" on your left a path will appear. You would be running behind and under that turn at 01:10:15. - Keeping that path will make you appear at the crossroads at 01:12:49, then you take 15 mts of road and depart from the road again at that entry point on your left at 01:12:58. - You will appear from the left at 01:15:06 and can cross to the right, running in between the road and the goat farm, finally getting to greet the dog at 01:16:38 from the right of the image. - At 01:17:18 I know the official path is straight down, but it's usually "closed" by that metal chain a bit further down so I always make a quick right and keep descending freely parallel to the path you took. - At 01:25:05 you should've gone immediatly to the right after the left turn. to go straight into Las Carboneras, aiming to the right of that house and car seen in the right of the image at 01:25:44. - If you had gone straight from Las Carboneras you should've appeared at the right of the cementery at 01:29:28 - From there you have a somewhat easy path to get to the town hall and sports center area. You somehow were close to it at the end, but should've turned left at 01:41:12 :) Cheers

That said, if you'd like to visit some of the places you saw in the video, take a look at the video description, there's a list with names of the places that should make it very easy to find them on the map. Also, in every episode, at the very end, there's a starting and ending points mentioned.

It's true, the majority of the content here is from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, this city puts a magical charm on many people visiting it, making them come back over and over, and some to never leave and I'm one of those addicts 😅 But there's also a playlist with the Canarian nature, I hope you'll enjoy it!

@@virtualrunningtvbyjen the nature here can be quite diverse, there are some areas with green hills and ravines, pine forests, rocky mountains and also deserts as well, many of it quite steep for casual running but I'm working on bringing more episodes from the nature 😊
