My First Hyrox Experience In 90s (2024 Sydney)
My experience doing Hyrox for the first time in Sydney with no training for the workout components due to prioritising Gold Coast marathon training and crossfit gymnastics. I had an absolute blast and will be back again knowing what I need to focus on and with some training under my belt to help with technique and efficiency.

The closest I got to sub-18 was 18:16 last winter at Rhodes parkrun (Sydney, Australia). This is my attempt one year later at breaking the 18min barrier with winter upon us again. Join me and OPRC on our longest run as some of us prepare for the Canberra Marathon. 36km course starts off in Bicentennial Park and takes us along Parramatta River where we do a loop of Parramatta Park and return via Meadowbank and Rhodes. (forgot to change the setting on my GoPro to 16:9 from 4:3, would have preferred the wider ratio)

One of a handful of parkruns which start at 7am in Sydney. The course is a little challenging to navigate at first but it's well marshalled with signage. Tip is to save some energy for the gradual incline in the last km! Removed the sound with video speed at 4x. One of the fastest parkruns in Sydney. Starting near the Victoria Ave entrance to Bicentennial Park, a flat course which involves a 1km loop followed by 2km out before turning back at Rhodes waterfront.
