NYC Subway: R160B Alstom R Express train ride from Queens Plaza to Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue
Filmed on May 5th, 2024. Also my first time filming in 4K 60fps.
I usually don’t film trains on the weekends due to work, but since I had a day off, I took the opportunity to film a weekend change in service. This one is of an R train to Forest Hills-71st Avenue running express due to construction on the local track between Queens Plaza and Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue. After that, the R would switch back to the local track, resuming its regular service.

NYC Subway: R160B Siemens R train ride from 4th Avenue-9th Street to Cortlandt Street-WTC
Просмотров 22811 месяцев назад
Filmed on September 14th, 2023 After filming the F and G trains at Smith-9th Streets again, it was time for me to head home. What should’ve been a 12-14 minute ride on the R to Cortlandt Street ended up being nearly 30 minutes long, mainly due to DeKalb Junction shenanigans, plus a D train running local in front of the R.

Filmed on September 14th, 2023 Due to reconstruction of the 63rd Street branch, F trains will run with the E along 53rd Street while M trains will terminate at 57th Street. In the meantime, shuttle trains will run along the 63rd Street branch until the first quarter of 2024.

Filmed on September 14th, 2023. Due to reconstruction of the 63rd Street branch, C trains are temporarily borrowing 8-car R160’s from the M line to increase service. The C train had used R160’s throughout most of the 2010’s due to it being ranked lowest by the Straphangers Campaign because of it using R32’s, which were in need of replacement. The R160’s ran on the C from 2013 until the R179’s f...

Also some unruly kids surfing on trains. Prior to CBTC, Jamaica yard had used a variety of trains, most of which were SMEE’s. First, and probably the last time I’ll ever film a ride on the Z as it barely runs during the day. The J/Z skip-stop service began service on December 11th, 1988, the same day the Archer Avenue line first opened. The idea of skip-stop service is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. Two lines run the same route, but one of them skips a certain station while the other one stops there, but onl...

There are some stations you don’t list here, such as the abandoned platform at Hoyt-Schermerhorn Streets on the A, C and G lines, the abandoned Myrtle Avenue Station on the N, Q, B and D Lines (4th Avenue Subway) on the Manhattan Bridge subway tracks, at the southern end of the bridge and the abandoned platform at 96th Street on the 1, 2 and 3 lines. Myrtle Avenue - closed 1956 due to reconstruction of the DeKalb Avenue Station and since it didn’t have heavy ridership in its final few years. Passengers had to use the Dekalb Avenue station beginning at 12:01 A.M., Monday, July 16, 1956. Hoyt-Schermerhorn Sts platforms - closed 1981 after the discontinuance of the Aqueduct Racetrack special train service. The platforms remain closed to this day. They are now sometimes used as a movie set. The outer tracks are never used in regular service, so, as formerly done at Court St, trains can be run in and out to meet the needs of movie scenes. 96th St platforms - closed around 1956 due to the introduction of newer subway cars by late 1957 which made the side platforms obsolete because of it being harder for conductors to open doors on both sides. Trains opened doors at the side platforms at 96th Street well into the lifetime of older riders today, before they were more convenient to the station entrances than the island platforms.

Well, whole UTRAOTT album based mostly on Technoboy's 2008-2009 sound like Ti Sento, A Kay A, and Junior (2009) (J'adore Hardcore drums sample). I'm just listened Qlimax 2008 - Technoboy live back in autumn and heard lot of Scooter's inspiration. But, be honest, Scooter did good their job, unreleased early version of Where's The Beats is a banging mastepiece. Sad that authours of original works never had a credits in Scooter's works...

Video creator here. Honestly, I'm surprised that this video managed to get so many views. Like, goddamn, nearly 120K. When I made this video back in 2016 as part of a little Halloween project, I was pretty satisfied with how it turned out. Of course now, looking back, it does feel a little dated, and I do feel I've left out a few stations and platforms that were worth mentioning, such as Jerome-Anderson Avenues on the IRT 9th Avenue El (Which was demolished in 1958, but a few remnants of the station are present), or the abandoned platforms at Hoyt-Schermerhorn Streets on the IND Fulton Street and Crosstown lines (Now served by the A/C and G respectively). Even the misspelling of the word "Abandoned" is present at the very beginning, which I completely forgot to fix before rendering the video. I guess at some point in the future I might do a remake of this video, with more photos and maybe some videos from a couple Urban Exploration channels on RUclips (Please note that I do NOT recommend you go and explore the abandoned stations yourself, because it's considered trespassing, and you could get arrested or risk dying by getting hit by a train or electrocuted by the third rail. And that's just talking about the closed off IRT stations. The same applies to Myrtle Avenue on the BMT 4th Avenue line, and the abandoned platforms at both Bowery and Canal Street on the BMT Nassau Street line), and of course be sure to give credit to the footage providers themselves. Right now however, the space on my computer is pretty much near capacity (around 25 GB left) so unless I maybe find a way to expand it, that remake will have to wait. Thank you guys for your support and feedback. I never did think this video would end up exploding in popularity, but here we are. See you guys soon!
