Very first thing, turn off powered monitors and amps. Then shut the board down.

I wish I could see what you’re doing. I know it sounds silly but make sure the fx return channel isn’t muted. I’ve overlooked that before. Follow me on Instagram @eravoxstudios and dm me a video. We can chat easier there. I’ll get you going bro.

Hit the layers button. Push Mix 9-10 button, these are your fx returns for 9-10(they’re on the left). Set those 4 faders for fx 1-4 to unity(0). Then hit the channels button. Then hit fx 1-4(they’re on the right), which ever fx you want to use, and then set desired amount of fx on any of the 32 channels using the “channel” faders, so if you have a vocal on channel 1 and a reverb on fx 1, you’d hit fx 1 and then turn the fader on channel 1 up to desired amount. If you don’t turn up the return faders, like I mentioned, the fx won’t be heard though. Make sure you go to layers to get those returns to unity.

Ya I feel ya… the low level is hard to hear unless you’re listening with a sub or something but push that low level real hard and you’ll hear what it does… then, dial it in to taste. For $30 this plugin is a solid investment.

Torque is cool but it’s nothing like df-clip. Torque changes pitch of sounds. Df-clip is a clipper. I’m not sure if waves makes a clipper.

Exciter is like an eq on steroids. It’s like a super saturator.

Thank you!!! I’ve tried that but I like to make sure each individual vocal gets its compression before getting summed to a bus because I use compression on the bus for glue. Sometimes, each track gets different filtering too.

Brother let me know one thing When we do EQ setting in LR with mic, then while doing EQ, we look at the peak indication and down the frequency, but this same indication is not present in the mix output . What should we do while doing EQ?

( Never heard of the whistly 6 ). Would be cool to see your take on vox in a dense mix. Would also be cool to see a quick Melodyne vid with a deeper dive into your process. I know there are hundreds out there, but you have a superb and efficient flow for cleaning up vox. Would love to see more of that in detail.

You’re in luck because that’s what these videos are. Unless you’re referring to having the actual multitrack or stems of the beat, in that case, I totally should. Usually I just have a WAV, 2Track of the beat and I’m mixing all the vocals into that. I’ll make a video of what I do to the beat, whether it’s a 2Track, Multitrack or Stems.
