Took my son who flew in from Colorado to Dan's barbecue on Friday for lunch. When he was a little boy we would eat there, getting their giant baked potatoes, which i would smash up and butter them up for him. Fond memories for me. 😢

The rich keep building new apartments and all that will do is push the low income people out of Allentown. Fact.Plus there are to many vape shops and barber shops in Allentown. Like come on already.Sad but Allentown will never be what it once was.Sure they are building and making changes but will it be good for the future? I lived there for 20 years. Was hoping you would've shown Lions park and the furnace dam since there is a track with a forest area you can walk through. It's up on South 10th street. Not sure if the Community pool is still open also.

Allentown is trying but has a long way to go. Too much bureaucracy, questionable Mayor's Office, monopoly developer City Center, mild tones of racism, for many years slum landlords like (initials) J.C., over-policing, etc. Don't get me wrong, I love Allentown, I own 4 investment properties there, but the town is still lacking. One of my properties is in the downtown area; it's like a ghost town. Where is everyone? Anyways, good video, thanks.

A long time ago, before Norma J's owned the small restaurant on Rt. 309, my great Aunt Lily owned the Lilly K. When my mom would waitress on the weekend, I would play behind the restaurant where the stadium is now next to Orefield Middle School, and, yes, it was the Parkland High School back then. 🙂 It is just so sad to see all of the farmland being developed either for homes or large warehouses, not to mention the traffic congestion. The American Farmland Trust says, "No farms, no food". I really wish all the Townships in the Lehigh Valley would think about this a little more.
