World Meditation Day

21 December is World Meditation Day declared by UNO
Meditators in all parts of the world are invited to begin your morning meditation at 8:00 AM local time* on Saturday, 21 December. As the globe turns, hour by hour, time zone by time zone, each of us will start our morning meditation at 8:00 AM. And, later the same day, each of us will start our evening meditation at 5:00 PM local time.
By including both morning and afternoon meditations on 21 December and moving westwards hour by hour with the Sun, World Meditation Day will actually last for 32 1/2 hours, concluding after 5:00 PM in Hawaii.
The 32 hour global meditation will be streamed live HERE on this RUclips Channel. For more information and the official press release visit: worldmeditationday.world/

The even is not public, but open only to UN diplomats. The core group of six member states of the United Nations-Liechtenstein, Andorra, Mexico, Nepal, India, and Sri Lanka-proposed the resolution and on 6 December 2024 the entire General Assembly unanimously proclaimed 21 December as World Meditation Day. This core group decided to celebrate the initiative at a special event in the early afternoon of Friday, 20 December 2024, where all permanent representatives of the UN are invited. So it is the official celebration of this resolution and Dr. Nader is invited to speak.

Sponsorship of organisations in the spiritual field,like AOL, Brahmakumaris, Baba Ramdas, Sadguru’s Isha Foundation and various government agencies is necessary for the successful conduct of such dedicated meditation. The reason for the success of the world yoga day is such involvement.
December 21 is the shortest day of the year.
June 21 is world yoga day.
