Leviticus 25:1-27:34 Some of the most profound instructions are given to the people of Israel this week, namely, establishing the Sabbath years and the Year of Jubilee where all property was returned to the rightful owners and debts were forgiven. Here's something we all should ponder. How can this be instituted to save our economic world and put our path closer to the Path of God?

This week we learn a little known fact about the meaning of "quarantine"- hint it has to do with Moses being on Mt. Sinai with G-d for 40 days! Perhaps during this quarantine, it might be good to hang out with God for a little while. Let's struggle with Eikev together. #Torahstudy #Godisgood #believeithappens

Moses pleads with God to enter the Promised Land. But God doesn't want to hear any more about it. This Torah portion is like the "Greatest Hits" of the Faith. This week begins Deuteronomy, or D'varim- quite literally, the Words. Moses sends the Israelites off to enter the Promised Land with his final instructions. In one respect, it's a re-cap, in another respect, it's a more detailed account of 40 years in the dessert. #Torahstudy #Godisgood #believeithappens

There's a medical symbol that has roots in the Torah! The caduceus- usually associated with Greek mythology- can be found in the Book of Numbers. Also- the prophet Balaam cannot curse the Israelites, instead blesses them. It starts with the Red Heifer, and Moses not following instructions properly at the waters of Meribah Kadesh. It's a long study, but hopefully, you'll find it enjoyable. #Tora...

Not Francis looking like Hank from Breaking Bad
Looks like the Mug bulldog
14 years later.. i love this song i found it randomly!! such a good song!!
I’ve been having it on repeat, good music never ages😭
Buffalo Tom, Dinosaur Jr, Afghan Whigs, Wedding Present. Best 4 bands of the 80's - 90's by far!! They're all still better in the 2000's than anyone else.
Yikes! I love Kim Deal.
She was pretty good in Almost Famous 😮
I wish Kim and Charles swapped lead vocal and writing duties from one album to the next, so all of Breeders songs stayed in Pixies, the way it always should have been.
I caught this tour at Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC and TV on The Radio opened!!!!!!!!!
David Lovering sounds a lot like Anthony Boudain. Anyone ever notice that?
do they not have 4 chairs? lol
“We don’t really go into the outside too much.” What a Classic Masher.
Turn up the audio of Umass at the end of you could.
Kim with the shout out to my home town of Burlington!
Do NOT listen to the Pixies !
No Kim No Deal
Oh that’s a great interview, I so so like their Music, Really. Love Kim Deal her voice. Love them all. I have a music page on Instagram and I play them the most in the history of my account. Its also that I still discover new songs who are old. Yeah something like that🤔 😎👍❤️
"what's the deal with Kim Deal?" Jerry Seinfeld.
That's a perfect Seinfeld! For 1 more minute of Kim Deal, please watch the Deals on my channel: ruclips.net/video/sQ0xStKTQng/видео.html
2021. Still so great.
Should be renamed Charles’s Band.
the school teacher at the end, disgusting
Maldito frank hecho a lakeam solo por ser borracha
these guys had some good quality shit going. David's eyes confirm lol
Black Francis talking reminds me of his voice in songs like monkey gone to heaven
I miss Kim in Pixies. I started to listen them when I was 14, exactly 3 years after they stopped to play together (1994). I thought would no longer be possible to see them live but, when I was in Italy in 2010, there was their concert in Ferrara, and my dream becomes true: I had no ticket but I had fortune, I took the train, I'd arrived in that city, a guy sold me he's ticket, when security opened the doors, I ran to the stage and I was exactly in front of them singing all their songs, was a wonderful concert and Kim had a wonderful energy, she has a wonderful energy. Pixies without Kim are less Pixies, no way.
yes, Kim was an amazing original member and all our early Pixies memories include her. BUT! Paz is awesome and she can play!!!
@@rainierr9356 Paz is awesome, but she's will always be a guest bassist to the fans. We tolerate it, nothing more. It's like the Beatles swapping out George Harrison on guitar. You can do it, but no.
They would absolutely love Asheville NC. As long as you’re not the type that has to be in a huge city if you’re gonna live in a city to begin with, I don’t see why any artist wouldn’t like Asheville to call home if not permanently than for a season to do some sessions and record. It’s such a happy place filled with awesome folks. Lots of inspiration. (And great bud and psychedelics) haha in my opinion, it’s the best of both worlds, where a major city and small mountain town collide. And you’re just 1-2 hours from other awesome cities and smaller mountain towns like Spruce Pine, NC (known for tons of gem mining and having the worlds largest and purest supply of Micah available to mine).. Boone, NC. Home to Appalachian State University which is a great school for sports and academics alike, while being known to be quite the party scene and very artsy and self sustainable, naturally being in isolation for so many years, people have grown to dance to the rhythm of their own drum in this small mountain university town, that also has a few major skiing and snowboarding destinations if you enjoy any type of winter sport activities, it’s the perfect place for anyone that can withstand the bitter cold winters, and the falls are worth every second of that below negative wind chill it can get down to on your way to first period in the morning! Also, Charlotte is not very far from Asheville with a short drive time of only right around 2 hours. Charlotte is probably the biggest and busiest of any cities in NC, and if it isn’t, it rivals them at least, being one of the major banking hubs for the east coast, a lot of money and opportunity awaits people in Charlotte in the financial industries and many other avenues as well. It’s well known for the money that comes through the city, celebrities like Ric Flair and DaBaby, who call it home, it’s higher percentage of black wealth and black owned businesses compared to many other parts of the state, and it’s high end fashion and luxury in general. It’s for sure the closest thing to an “Atlanta” that NC has to offer its residents and visitors. Black Mountain is also a short drive right down interstate I-40 from Asheville, taking maybe only 15 minutes to get there depending on where in the city you are coming from. Black Mtn. Has been growing in size for every year at a rapid pace due to how many people want to move to Asheville, they end up not being able to find a house or apartment or simply get out prices due to how high the cost of living has boomed in Asheville since it’s surge in popularity. It’s been happening for the past couple decades, but in the past few years, it seems I can’t travel anywhere outside of the state without seeing an add to move to Asheville or visit. Thus, forcing people down the road to Black Mountain which is a little more white color than A-vile, but still has roots to the arts and is very environmentally friendly. A great spot to get some local brews, check out some amazing restaurants, or go for a beautiful hike.. In fact Black Mtn is now starting to experience the same problems Asheville faces with the large influx of people and now another (much smaller) town at the very bottom of the mountain is benefitting from it. Being more developed than ever before and now hosting many new watering holes, snd great places to eat, along with awesome mom and pop shops. It is home to the famous Catawba Falls hiking destination, boasting a 3.9 mile hike and to reach the top of the falls itself, is no small order, but I’m got faith in you! , These are just a few examples of some of the awesome and interesting places within short driving distances (1-2 hours) from Asheville. But, you’re doubtful to get bored with Asheville anytime soon and need to head elsewhere anytime soon. There is so much to see and do from the many music venues, bars, and Breweries that have an overwhelming selection of micro-brewed and IPA beers, and just your good old fashioned Budweiser if that’s more your thing, and the many big name music acts that love to play Asheville yearly and the many local bands who you can catch regularly. It’s home to many buskers, which fill the atmosphere with beautiful acts all day every day, many playing traditional bluegrass, old time string bands who also incorporate the washboard and spoons and other creative Appalachian instruments, all the way to hip hop and amazing solo violinist and guitarist. Asheville is a true artists’ city who gives off the impression of being self aware and knowing what it wants in a resident, but also bring warm, welcoming, and accepting as well. Check it out
Come on admit... are you the mayor?!
I think they played there at least twice.
Like, shut up lol
This is one of my all time favorite acts
Charles, Joey, and David dressed like the mob😎
Pure kino, some of those bands sounded sick af
They were - I still have a bunch of recordings/albums from these bands. If you’re interested, hit me up. These nights were the best. It was magic.
Wow, Negro Franco is like, me, a human. Dude came up with some sweet riffs.
. this was 1999 ! ? they sure aged A lot since 1994 ! ! ! I guess they lived the RnR life bass player looked unhappy
Need Kim back in the band now.
Why?
they all look older in 2004 than they do now
Feel the Magic
He thinks the food in Los Angeles sucks, so he thinks Mexican, Chinese, Greek, Italian, Middle Eastern food sucks... what a weirdo, he must love eating his Germanic and Celtic, stale, insipid, nothing food then. LOL
I guess he misses his clam chowder and fish.
These guys had so much music in skate vids it's uncanny....i only knew of them due to skate parts!!!
This is a song about a superhero named Tony It’s called Tony’s Theme!
Did they just not get a seat ready for Black Francis? The poor guy is just awkwardly moving around behind them
Joey is filipino? I had no idea.
kim looks like brian wilson in the thumbnail
Yeah with her hair hahaha
Kim Deal holds every fabric of my heart
Except in this thumbnail. She looks like one of my uncles in the mid 80s
@@lennycook206 hahaha
Kim is gorgeous here as in every picture.
@@lennycook206 brutal lol
@@BrongaeneGriffin Kim is rare; exceptionally handsome and talented. Her voice is a perfect counter-point to Black Francis and neither of them are good without each other, despite the amazing things they did later and general animosity. Kim was right to get out and I'm glad her own talent flowered properly.
Hey I’m looking to trade/buy/share any North Shore local music from the 2000’s. I’m looking for Espontaneo or Black Bear from Gloucester in particular. I have some stuff that’s on the verge of extinction, so I’m happy to share with anyone. Reply to this message and we can get in contact.
@No Touchy I can’t see this comment on my COOL FRIEND account for some reason. But I do have Marathon “Songs to Turn the Tide”. I also have a bunch of De La Hoya (pre-marathon). It’s good shit, personal life aside. DIY punk kids are all eccentric. Are you from the Boston area, brother?
