    Ok, tell me something - does reconciliation control ensure for data integrity or data completeness? Do tell, please.

    • @simploschool1292
      @simploschool1292 Год назад

      Hi Vesna! Great question - the typical objective of reconciliation controls is to verify that the data in one set of records matches or aligns with the data in another set of records, ensuring the integrity and reliability of the information. As such, reconciliation controls ensure data integrity and are detective/corrective controls in nature. Data completeness is normally used to describe procedures to the ensure all relevant data is captured and available. As such, I would argue that data integrity is more appropriate to use, compared to data completeness, when describing the objective of reconciliation controls.

    Thanks for sharing this video. For question#4, would it be possible to have the other options (a, b, c) as part of the feasibility study? If you could make a video with a dummy/sample document/ template, it'd be really great.

    • @simploschool1292
      @simploschool1292 Год назад

      Thank you for your comment. A feasibility study normally evaluates broad implications - such as economic, legal/regulatory, organizational, and technical feasibility. The other choices (a,b,c) are typically not included in a feasibility analysis. I base the Q&As on former CISA exam questions. A CISA aspirant does not necessarily need to know what is specially included in a feasibility study - rather, he/she should be aware of its definition and certain characteristics.

    • @user-pz4gg7wl5u
      @user-pz4gg7wl5u Год назад

      Hi Shinu! Great question. A deterrent control is similar to a preventive control in nature as both control types are proactive (attempts to address the risk BEFORE it occurs). However, a deterrent control discourages/deters a risk while a preventive control more broadly prevents a risk. Here is an example of each control: -> Preventive control stops something from happening - a password stops an unauthorized person from logging into a system. -> Deterrent helps someone choose not to do something - a CCTV (security camera) may deter someone from breaking into a data center. The risk of getting caught will deter them from their action. I will make a video explaining the difference in more detail shortly :)
