Never, and i mean NEVER shoot the base of the barrel in a situation like that. You should aim for the tip since it is much easier to take out the barrel like that. Also it helps to aim for the center of mass when taking side shots....ik is dificult to do this in combat but still wanted to put it into perspective

Skill issue vs skill issue.😂 Maus didn't even try to get back to cover his side armor and didn't even try to show his frontal armor. The American tank does not take the side shot, anything with 200mm+ pen (I think) can kill the Maus on a chassis side shot.
