Quentin Tarantino talks about Pulp Fiction auditions
...cause his lucky number is 7 not ³
“Sodomized ritualistically” is a hell of a way of putting it haha
Hah, the same issue as with Dune by David Lynch... oh and they booth are named David... coincidence? I DONT THINK SO xD
the fact he hates alien3 makes me love it even more! my Fave Alien3 and I'll defend it to the grave.

Adoro Alien 3 imaginem se tivesse dado liberdade para fincher seria Alien nivel de seven. Fox é uma merda ai no 4 filme deram liberdade virou aquela merda kkkkkkkkkkk
I love A3. Now imagine what would he do if he had free hands to do his vision. A3 has so many good stuff, atmosfere, style, horor, music was incredible, Alien was scary.. its a shame studio fucked him up while he was filming it..
I've seen Paul Calderon in a bunch of Abel Ferrar movies. If he was so good, how is it I've never seen him in a Quentin Tarrentino movie?
There is so much I love about Alien 3 I know it’s an imperfect movie but it always feels too easy to vilify it, I sympathise and understand why people don’t like it and generally I feel the same way when a sequel has such a blatant lack of respect for the previous movie but I don’t think it’s a movie without its merits.
Its true Hollywood is not the answer to filmmaking and will never be.
Alien3 is an amazing movie with a great ensemble cast, but I can image David Fincher has bad memories, that form his view on the film. I really love it!
Back in the '90s, David Fincher and George Michael could pass for twins.
Alien 3 is great it's for sure better than aliens and, in some ways, even better than alien. Overall, though, i still put alien at #1, but alien 3 is definitely the 2nd best film in the franchise.
Same here .Really close to alien.Wish the effects were better
Five years this video has been up and zero comments lol. Nobody wants to click on a pic of Harvey Weinstein laughing.
Damn I kinda feel sorry for Paul Calderon here but yes Sam Jackson was the best for it and changed the game doing it
As good of an actor Michael Madsen is, I can't see him getting into the twist scene at Jack Rabbit Slim's as comfortably as Travolta did.
I read somewhere that Daniel Day Lewis begged for the role of Vincent Vega, but Quentin turned him down. Daniel had the looks and acting chops to elevate the character a few notches higher.
Yeah! For Bob and Harvey Weinstein, the ideal interpreter for Vincent should have been Daniel Day Lewis, who really liked the script. Tarantino, however, was adamant, even going so far as to threaten that, without John Travolta, he would not have made the film.
So glad that arrogant ass didn’t get it …IF that is even a true story. JT was born to play that character- even that prick DDL cod not have don’t better (IMO) !
Please, if possible, share the entire interview with QT! I loved his enthusiasm and would love to hear more! Thanks! (Why post such a short excerpt from what seems like a great conversation!)
He RUINED ALIEN 3 sequel No Doubt ! Just horrendous only 1 & 2 are exceptional
Alien 3 was a good film.
Thank God he didn’t give up
If memory serves me correct James Camreon and his crew had the same issues with ppl at Pinewood studios as well. Aliens turned out to be one of the best Sci-Fi shootem'up films of all times and Alien3 was not by any means bad at all. Alien resurrection and avp and whatever came after yeah ok... And Prometheus. Seriously. Here was a chance to resurrect the entire franchise and they fumbled it because once again, the studio needed to taint it.. And Alien Covenant?.... Slasher films in space now?... Whatever.
And yet he made a fantastic film and a perfect ending to an amazing trilogy which frankly is where the canonical Alien films should have ended. As much as Jeunet is a wonderful director no one wins with Joss wheedons immature turd of a screenplay.
Agree 100%.
He needs to watch the Director's Cut
Alien 3 is such a good movie.
No it isn't
I loved ALIEN3. I think Fincher did an amazing job.
It is a very, very flawed masterpiece I think
David did a cut of alien 3 which has never been put on dvd and blu Ray
Yes it has.
@@Hans-be6sm no your thinking of assembly cut right?
@@Hans-be6smnope. Ralph brown mentions it
That wasn't actually made by finvher
Fincher doesn't have a cut of Alien3 and left before filming was even finished. The Assembly Cut is regarded as close to what he would have done because it's based on his notes during the production.
I believe Alien 3 is the only good movie this idiot did
There were stories of James Cameron butting heads with the crew who felt that it should be Ridley Scott directing the movie. Luckily his movie turned out ok.
Scott didn't want there to be a sequel to Alien because he knew things could only get worse. And he was right too, Aliens is a great movie, but an Alien movie with guns was the road to ruin.
@@RoaryUKAliens is arguably superior to Alien, though both are masterpieces.
Cameron wrote it so perhaps his clear vision factors into the success. Alien 3 didn’t have a good script.
"Look, you could have somebody piss against the wall for two hours and call it Alien 3 and it would still do $30m-worth of business" Fox to David Fincher. The Independent, 21 August 1992.
This guy is great. I love him.
If you want the ULTIMATE behind-the-scenes interview about what happened, which you are never going to get even from David Fincher, look for "A Witness to the Wreckage and Rage, Talking to Alien 3 Screenwriter Rex Pickett" I even have more respect for Fincher after that interview.
If Quentin Tarantino could act, he'd probably be the one to play Vincent Vega in replacement for Michael Madsen.
So basically British film workers are pretentious twats who despise American directors
So, Harvey Weinstein pretty much ruined Paul Calderon's big break.
Man bot him and Sam deserved it, both deserved stardom too.
Alien3 is a fantastic film. Despite everything David had to deal with it still turned out to be the second best Alien film in the franchise.
Alien and Aliens are the two best hands down
Paul Calderon must have been so pissed to have missed out on the Jules role
Alien 3 is gorgeous has its flaws, but this heavy nihilistic atmosphere and religious references make it much, much better than Aliens, which for me with its ideas destroyed this mysterious, miraculous figure of the Alien.
Not even the original was about the "alien." It was about how the crew dealt with it. You are never going to see a movie with just aliens, and no humans. And that's why.
Okay, but I disagree ... just Alien, Giger's world and no humans... I dream about it...
back then holly wood movies were so much different than now. that was so pre internet before actors had daily interaction with fans. i can totally see how people would act like dude we're making hollywood movies, this is how its done.. this is the industry.. but now its more friendly because of indie stuff probably and the whole culture is just different now with people at least pretending theyre more down to earth and not up in the clouds..
Matt Dillon or Mickey Rourke for Butch would have been amazing
Mickey Rourke as Butch Coolidge would actually make sense. Much like the character, Rourke has been a boxer since he was 12.
Mickey Rourke would’ve been fantastic in it
Would love to give all the Alien 3 film footage back to David Fincher and have him finish the movie as he originally intended using todays modern CGI effects.
Madsen probably regretted doing Wyatt Earp.
What is this from?
*Pulp fiction cast reunion It's an hour long video .....you can look it up
Tarantino's movies: Do Chicks dig QT's Flicks? Clint Eastwood testosterone driven Films.
If Tarantino didn’t cast sam jackson that could’ve easily ruined the entire movie.
Yeah but he deliberately wrote it for Fishburn. A hot and up in coming Fishburn. What do you think Tarantinos "thing" is exactly? Personally, it's his storytelling. He captures the moment so well. I'd love to visit a different timeline where Fishburn played Jules.
@@juandoe2994I don’t think Sam made the movie great
One single casting decision doesn't affect the script, cinematography, editing, costuming, visual effects, or score. Ruined the entire movie? Eat a dick, you nauseating nuance-impaired fanboy.
alien 3 was a damned good movie a lot better than number 4
That's not exactly high praise.
Lol, 4 be like. “You thought 3 was bad, hold my beer“
When has Laurence Fishburne ever been a lead?
King of New York!!
Deep Cover. The Matrix. Are you serious?
@@brianthompson4717 hes a supporting role in the matrix, keanu is the lead
You have to look at the context of when this happened. Fishburne got big praise and exposure for "Boyz in the Hood" after years as a supporting actor. QT's Jule's character was literally a supporting character. NOBODY, including QT, knew what this movie would become after its release and reception. Again, time is the context.
He got the leading role for Shakespeare’s Othello, that year. That’s why he rejected the role. And although many could say it was a big mistake, it was one of the best performances of his career. I can’t imagine someone better.
tarantino recast the part of storyteller midway through the story there
I like the director's cut and threatical movie... This movie is epic whatever everyone's Say about it
There's no "director's cut," and there never will be, so you have no idea what you're talking about.
@@miller-joel shut the f*ck up! Who are you? Don't you f*cking tell me what i know or don't... There is the director's cut, and i got it on Blu-ray along side with the threatical release from 1992... Shut up and goodbye
Anyone who likes "Pulp Fiction" should also see "Go" (1999). It's a less psychotic version of "Pulp Fiction."
Thanks for the tip! It's also less good but was an enjoyable watch nonetheless. If you like perspective shifting plotlines, try "Happy Accidents" (2000). The full movie is currently on YT.
That was why I didn’t like it. It just seemed like a bad ripoff of Pulp. It didn’t have the charm, acting or writing of Pulp. Just a stolen ideas.
@@dmontes133 Ironic considering that Tarantino is a bit of a cinematic magpie himself - albeit a genius one.
@yhootoob No need to get medieval! It might not be a patch on Pulp but it had personality...
So a less fun version of an extremely fun movie?
