I love the tournament and this year's bracket. Two things. One, I don't think it's "right" that Louisville gets to play the entire tournament at home. Playing at Stanford poses travel problems for other teams, and I don't care how much the committee pulls out the RPI and KPI numbers, the whole thing is unfair. Two, how in the world do they put Minnesota against Hawaii in the FIRST round? As an aside, Lee, the parity in NCAA women's volleyball is due to the absolutely amazing growth of club volleyball. Recruiting is, therefore, the real deal when it comes to these kids coming up. I have a close friend whose daughter (6-2) plays for UVA-Wise, and their recruiting has been off-the-charts this year. I fully expect them to compete in Division II on a level they've never had before. There's an enormous behind-the-scenes system in place for these kids to get recognized, and that is what's fueling this entire thing. You will feel the loss of John Tawa from your magazine.

Nebraska got a great draw again this year. Got the weakest 4 seed in Baylor and with Wisconsin's poor back row and still playing a 5-1 they are no threat to the Huskers. ASU is too small for Nebraska. Teams that can beat Nebraska are big teams that can shut down Beason like Texas, Penn State, SMU and Pitt. Dont have to play a threat till final four like last year having with getting GT, UK and Arkansas who were no threat.

LSU has had a revelation with the MB's Jessica Jones and Angelina Lee halfway through the year. Plus they have a solid experienced setter and a couple a good swinging pins. If they can get any consistent passing they can play with just about anyone.

To correct Kirsten, only two Big East teams have a Power ranking under 100. Marquette and St John’s and three teams over 200, Georgetown, Butler, and Providence. Their last good win was to Kansas in September, when teams are still experimenting with their lineups. I’m not saying they’re undeserving of a top four seed, but a difficult strength of schedule is not an argument they can make.

It's steps for our illini, tourney bound this year, then recruit, recruit, recruit, and then we pick up a few more top 50 wins over the next two years. Final four team at one time! GO ILLINI!

Neb fans are of course annoying about Husker volleyball but you have to understand sports are all we have LOL and we are crazy for volleyball. Just keep in mind a good portion of your followers are probably Husker fans. They engage more than any other fanbase across social media so just ignore the annoying ones who cannot see beyond their own team. Most of us love the sport and appreciate great play across all conferences.

Wait a second, Emily!! How can you use the Pitt match to vault them to first? They took 5 sets to win over a Louisville team that Nebraska swept in Louisville! Head to head competition favors Nebraska in that situation. You can put Pitt ahead if you want - and they may be the better team - but the logical criteria you used to justify that decision was flawed. It will be nice when the tournament rolls around, and all arguments cease, and the winner emerges on the court.

Of course, fans had to have a subscription to ACCNX in order to view the Pitt-Louisville match. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. Terrible behavior by the ACC, IMO.

Guy is a big Homer for the ACC. At the start of the season ACC commentators were saying the ACC was the best conference, even Emily was for the SMU/Nebraska game. Let’s see come playoff time which conference is truly better. My bet is big ten is slightly better

I wish you'd do a piece on comcast/xfinity blocking Big Ten Network matches involving teams from the West Coast. I miss all those games, because my provider is in a financial dispute. WTF? I've been prohibited from watching ANY of these matches. It's awful.
