The Moberly base, designated MU 1, has been in continuous operation since 1982 based in Columbia, relocating to Moberly in July 2020, and sports the unique and easily recognized MU Health paint scheme. This Airbus H135P3+ is a state-of-the-art twin engine aircraft. In addition to scene and inter-hospital flights, this helicopter is also the primary aircraft for specialty transport flights (CHCCTS pediatric medical and neonatal transports, and balloon pump patients). It features an additional seat to accommodate staff in orientation as well as MU Emergency Medicine resident physicians and ride-along participants. This aircraft is certified to perform Instrument Flight Rule (IFR) flights.
The Osage Beach-based team, MU 2, provides medical care and transport in a Bell 407GX single-engine aircraft. The primary service area is the Lake of the Ozarks region, saving patients significant time by easily traversing the lake and its winding roads. An aircraft has been permanently based in Osage Beach since 1985; the partnership is celebrated by incorporating the Lake Regional Health System logo with the black and gold paint. Patients are primarily transported to Columbia, Osage Beach and Springfield.
Matthew , I have a little story that directly relates to this . When I was part of an EMS Explorer post in Idaho , a family friend who went to our church owned a local funeral home . One day I walked in just to ask questions about how he handles deceased bodies and I went into.the garage to take a look at the hearse . It was a beautiful blue over black hardtop 1967 Cadillac Park Row and when he took off one of the side panels , it said ambulance ! I was like huh ? He said that before there was formal ambulance service here in 1968 , the funeral homes were also the ambulance service . Paul's service was the one of two that carried medical equipment while the others were just scoop and haul ass to the hospital . The combination unit was one of two from funeral homes in our area that had an electronic siren .
What a beautiful noise !
I love that sound when you let 'er rip ! Retired paramedic .
Que lindo cadillac hearse...
👎
That is such an elegant and classy looking vehicle.. it sure has a powerful presence and I hope it stays in as original condition as possible.
Thanks for the kind words and original is indeed the plan!
Another beautiful hearse. Question: What is the bar on the backside quadrant on both sides of the hearse? What does it represent?
@@drakedesjardins6001 Those are a modern interpretation of the stylized “Landau Bars” that once were used to fold the top down on a horse-drawn carriage.
Wow! What a beautiful hearse. The shiny detail is incredible.
Nice car but those red curtains are ugly
Curtains are a difficult item to restore or replace on one of these cars. The fabric is generally disintegrating after 40-50 years and an exact match to the original material is usually impossible to find. It is common for the curtains to be removed entirely by new owners after the Coach leaves the Funeral Home because they interfere with the “daily driver’s” vision. If the curtains are still present they can be used as patterns for new ones, but if they’re not, well, good luck! The red curtains in this ‘67 are not the original style or color, but I imagine that the owner chose them to add a dash of color to the otherwise “original” interior.
@@matthewtaylor3308 The car is incredibly nice and I'm sure you're right regarding the owner choosing to add a little color, but they are just not the color I would have chosen. I'm sure the original fabric pattern and even thickness are hard to find these days, but I would think somewhere, someone out there has a source for period correct white colored curtains. Id like to know PS> I like your videos and wish you would post more... they are appreciated and I gave you a thumbs up and I subscribed.
A Beautiful example of this original '67 S&S Park Row Combination!!
Super Clean, I wonder if she is restored .
She is super awesome, even the stretch wheelbase. I want a 6 or 8 door regular Burban. I had a 69 Chevy panel truck body bucket with the coffiñ rollers regular wheelbase. But as a Burban, van and wagon fan and owner of all 3 old ambulances and hearses are ultra cool especially if they are Chevy or Caddie
Yes that Chevy is extremely cool - that’s one kind of professional vehicle I’ve never owned and would definitely like to own some day - either as an ambulance or a hearse conversion.
@@matthewtaylor3308 definitely very cool to see, thank you for posting the video. I still want a 71-76 Caddie hearse some day preferably a 74 as that's my favorite year Caddie but I have seen a Magnum wagon hearse and I've been told both of my black magnum wagons look like hearses, which isn't a bad thing as I consider wagon looking hearses and ambulances the same as wagons .
Cool hand Luke model.
Funeral 🚘⚰️
Yes. In this case a US Army Veteran. 🇺🇸
Thank you, a real treat 😊
It’s nice when a limo looks like a limo and not an suv…
You bet sir
Those jolly good old days. When GM was GM 😢
Such style in the older modles not so much today
That’s the truth.
I personally love the style
Flower caddy w/ Hearse compartment. Sweet😅
Super nice car ngl in great condition two
Clean 🔥 oh they don’t make them like they used to
This is a coach based on an ‘84 Eldorado chassis, apparently. Notice that it is a two-door.
Wow that’s amazing what year is the car? It is in really good condition
It’s a 1990 S&S Cadillac Victoria Hearse
Apologies - this is a ‘65, not a ‘66 Superior. The ‘66 has turn signals in the grill, while the ‘65 has turn signals in the bumper as seen here.
"the last ride" ij
Very cool car
Great Content

Love that color
I just don't get it... why not buy a hearse and have some class... a pull behind trailer is tacky no matter how "nice" you dress it up.. its still a pull behind trailer.
That’s a valid question… I’m a videographer, not a Funeral Director, but I know quite a few of them - and many Funeral Directors share your attitude. There are several reasons why this product could have a place in a funeral home’s garage. The most obvious is that it can be pulled by a decedent’s favorite car, for example, or by a municipal vehicle if the funeral is for a line-of-duty death. It can be pulled by a motorcycle or even an antique farm tractor. This is one excellent way to personalize the service.
@@matthewtaylor3308You make a very good point there and I never thought of those special situations but then again why cant a hearse just follow a favorite car or a municipal vehicle etc...
👍
Very nice video. What a beautiful hearse.
I’ve been trying to get a better shot of that Coach since I caught a glimpse of it some time ago.
Love that you should make a lot more
From the Mercy website: “Mercy Life Line operates H135P2+ single-pilot instrument flight rules (IFR) capable twin-engine helicopters, the region’s only IFR flight program. These aircraft feature the latest technology for flight under IFR weather conditions for improved safety during inclement weather.”
My 1st car was a 1963 Pontiac Bonneville hearse. In 1973, I paid $200. Fun car.
You have any pictures of it? I’d love to see them!
@@matthewtaylor3308 Sadly, no. It was fun, I could fit most of the cross country team in the back. That was disconcerting for the other team to see us all piling out of a hearse.
These old coaches are way past retirement!!
I thought about making a call on the white Coach… it was at a tire shop when I spotted it.
6.66 seconds to hell ... turn around before it's too late.
Surprised they haven't built one with the engine in the back. That way they can make it massive, and have the weight over the wheels... Should be plenty of room in the back of one of those.
He needs to get a zombie girl to be his back up person.
ALMOST AS FAST AS REAL DEATH ITSELF HUH??? NOT EVEN CLOSE
a thing of raw beauty
Beautiful 😂😂😂
Yep
Somehow the modern Chrysler hearses just don’t carry the dignity of the old ones based on the Imperial. Seems like Cadillac and Lincoln today go a lot further in preserving the elegance and feel hearses traditionally have.
That’s true, of course… But Parks Superior, for example, recently uploaded a video of a Lincoln 6-door Limousine built by Federal on a MKT chassis… You can’t convince me that that ugly thing has any “elegance” in it… And Lincoln used to own the limousine market!
@@matthewtaylor3308 true; I think taste in cars is dying
👍
spooky pacifica
Yeah without any Landau panels it could be next to you on the road and you’d never know…
