@@DaveandDebe ported Atlas is the way to go if the budget allows...and Atlas holds resale value extremely well. The grips on the Atlas are the best, it's crazy how good the gun feels.
Atlas is about to release their grips for sale so you will be able to throw one on the XC if that is your thing. I personally love the grips on my XC as they don’t feel cheap and are thicker than I initially thought and for the money you can’t go wrong with the XC. Absolutely love mine!
Last year when I was choosing a 50th birthday gift to myself😂, I had a choice between the Staccato XC and Phoenix Trinity HTAC, I ended up going with the HTAC, it had a bronze anodized grip that was the decision maker, plus I was interested in the linkless barrel, absolutely love it!
I might have to try the Phoenix or Hayes soon. I do like the Phoenix porting and the look of the firearm. How much effort does it take to rack the slide? Would you say it's as good or better than the Staccato XC?
Slide to frame fit is perfect, it's a much better gun than the Alchemy 1911. The balance of weight is perfect...Volkmann makes a top tier 1911. I can't imagine someone making a better 1911....very smooth slide for a 1911 too. I would definitely buy another Volkmann if I get into the 1911 market again. And his customer service is great.
Shot the Limcat yesterday... awesome gun. Smoothest 10mm I've ever shot, a little more recoil than a 9mm but not by much. And looks pretty cool...it's a great gun once you pull a muscle trying to rack it for the first time 😅
Just make sure you get the Titan with the RDS...I got the non RDS titan so pay more attention than I did. No matter which model of Atlas you pick...you're getting the best gun on the market. Wait until you rack the slide...it's ridiculous and have no idea how they do it. I've seen videos talking about how smooth a Staccato or Nighthawk is...man it's nothing compared to Atlas. Racking the Nighthawk BDS9 feels shitty after racking an Atlas. Everything feels shitty after you have an Atlas.
The ported Apollo will be my next gun...I bet it's the best gun on the planet. A non ported Atlas is amazing, so the ported barrel will be unbelievably...
Thank you!,, I am torn between the XC and the new Atlas Apollo ported. I just want to get the flattest shooting gun I can afford. I don't want to spend the extra money, if it's not going to be noticeably different. It's hard to believe that that XC shoots as flat as your Atlas. Any advice?
At the range... everone is always curious about the Atlas...Staccato, not so much because more people have them. I'm in Tx and so is Staccato so that helps. What's crazy is that Infinity is in Tx too and Texans don't know that....@@DaveandDebe
And get the ported Apollo...that's my next gun and I bet it's amazing. A non ported Atlas is awesome, but a ported barrel will be the softest shooting gun on the planet...
I bought a special forces in 2010. Could not order options because I lived in California at the time. It has countless thousands of rounds without any issues of any sort. I change out the springs (recoil & Main) about every 2,000 rounds or so with wolf springs and keep it cleaned and lubed. It is without a doubt an amazing 1911. I am on the fence between another EB commander in 9mm or an ACW `prime carry in 9mm. What are your thoughts ?
This is NOT a compensator since there are no ports to vent the gas. That is just a sightblock that keeps the front sight stationary while the slide moves back and forth.
I will buddy, I'm looking forward to it man. Should be pretty sweet...check out the Calvin's Cherry on the svi website. Dude that gun looks amazing. I'm not sure if I'll try to get that one... $14k seems steep even for infinity...
I just subbed on the BDS9 video and you are great bud! Great taste in pistols! Love that your telling like it is and not corrupted by the industry “Yet” lol
Lol I wish. Just in the landscape biz...the deal with infinity took years of constantly talking to them before they would reserve a gun for me. The thing is without a reservation, you'll never be able to get an infinity because the guns are sold before they ever hit the market. But once you get in, it seems like you can reserve any gun they release which is cool. And I only live an hour away from Infinity which I think helped me get on their list. The people at infinity are the nicest people you'll ever work with, the customer service is outstanding. I started doing this to help other people make a decision because every video online is always kissing the guns ass on how great it is. No one ever mentions the downside...I've had to spend $50k just to try out guns to see what is good for me when I wish there were more videos online showing the good and bad to every firearm. Because nothing is perfect, maybe infinity is but we'll see soon enough. So far Atlas is the best from my experience, then Staccato, then Nighthawk. The biggest disappointment I've had was Limcat and Alchemy. I haven't tried the Cabot because they're basically Alchemy...haven't tried Taran Tactical because the build quality looks poor and they don't make anything...it's all drop in parts.
@@waterwizard5598 thanks for the excellent feedback and your honesty is a fresh outlook! I am receiving my Staccato next month and although it’s not an Infinity, 3rd best is a good start for me. I look forward to more honest reviews and please feel free to reach out to me if you want an opinion or whatever. Again, thank you my brother and keep up the great work!
Never tried either and haven't heard much about them. Some guns I don't buy because it's too similar to Atlas. Mine as well buy an Atlas if it reminds me of an Atlas. Vudoo seems a little more unique, Masterpiece reminds me of Atlas for some reason. Maybe it's something about the slide...not sure. I'm sure they're great guns though...just haven't made my way to them yet. The Hayes Customs has my interest...they seem pretty serious about quality.
I wish my P had an optic plate like the Nighthawk. I really like the combat sight picture. I do like the Staccato P due to that tool less guide rod though!
Nice Pistol. You have good taste. Except I don't get much into the mirror polishes that much. Prefer a nice blued or black pistol. Volkmann makes a great gun. I recently started making vids too. Not many but just about higher end 1911's and old school metal guns. Plastic is not for pistols. I subbed.
A couple of things. Congrats on your Titan it's a beautiful tool. That Issue with pushing the safety up when you try to get a high grip, the safety levers you have on your gun is made for you to rest your thumb on it. You will not engage the safety even when you're gripping the weapon with both hands. The issues with the first round of bullet not seating I can't speak for any Atlas Gunworks weapon but when I had that same issue with my Staccato it was from the barrel being dry not allowing the round enter. Once I figured that out, put a little lube on it I never had that issue again. Funny I just dealt with Tony the other day. Dude was cool and handle my issue with no problems. The other times I dealt with @atlasgunworks customer service via the portal went without any hiccups. Thanks for sharing this video
Much appreciated everyone. Kovert shipped out my Artemis today so I'll post that as soon as I get it. Wait until you see the infinity that's coming... it's the G2 Corsa and looks amazing
