Damaro Reviews
Добавлен 4 май 2010
Validating my addiction to buying boxing gloves by bringing you guys reviews about the gear. Long form reviews to allow us to go in depth about the gloves and really dive into my subjective opinions of them, I try not to be completely objective about things since each glove has its own characteristics and I feel that simply applying a numerical score to them misses the point.
New Sporting 16oz Glove - Unboxing and First Impressions
A quick unboxing and first impression of these 16oz New Sporting boxing gloves I just got in. Really good glove with some quality control issues. Feels like it will be a good glove but I am glad I got them for a discount since they are a bit scuffed up out of the box.

ONX X-Factor Glove Review - High Tech, High Praises
Просмотров 2,7 тыс.Год назад
My review of the ONX X-factor training gloves in 12oz lace up and 16oz Velcro. High quality gloves with some really cool features. The two longest serving gloves in my rotation and will remain there for years to come.
Boxeo TM Boxing Gloves - First Impressions
Просмотров 2,7 тыс.Год назад
Quick first impressions after my first day using these Boxeo TM gloves. I have two pairs, a 12 oz PU foam gloves in black and a 16oz latex foam glove in white. Man these are some quality gloves and you can tell right off the bat that Juan really put time and care into their production. Love these smaller glove makers, truly artists when it comes to the craft especially compared to the larger br...
Gil Professional Glove Review - Perfectly imperfect
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.Год назад
Review of a pair of 14oz Gil Professional Mexican boxing gloves. Not perfect but one of my favorite gloves in rotation.
I used to train Muay thai for years and developed osteoarthritis in my wrists. I had to stop training because the pain was unbearable. Now after five years I miss training really much and I’m trying to find something that will reduce impact force on my wrists. I’ve seen those Hayabusa T3 and this ONX-X gloves. Do you think this could help me? Any recommendations how I could protect my wrists and get back to training?
Can someone tell me if they think these ones are better or the Rival RS1’s?
Hey man, nice gloves! I'm looking into getting a pair. How're they holding up a year and a bit later? 16's weighing in at 18/19oz though :-/
Can you link thevTrevor Whitman video?
Just found those laceups at the goodwill for 9.99
Say swear!?!
How big are the latex ones compared to something like Cleto? Been using Reyes for sparring and wanted to switch up to TM latex 16oz
I had problems on some custom New Sporting gloves back in February 2022. New Sporting has made gloves for a bunch of other companies. I own some of those gloves from those other companies and I really like them. I also heard that they really stepped up their quality control. So I'm in the process of giving them another shot. Keeping my fingers crossed, because I know they have the ability to turn out really beautiful gloves. How did you end up liking Isami?
I have some Gils in 16oz hybrid and I haven't been able to even give them away. Could be a bad pair, but nobody that has come through the gym over the last 3.5 years has even used them a full round. Your's actually look a lot better. You're probably right that the smaller glove weights are much better for Gil.
the hybrids being the lace and velcro option?
@@SpecialBrowny74 yeah. Mistake on my part. Probably their worst model. lol
Your reviews are totally superior to both Csquared and Fit2Box.
How much are they?
I got mine for about $175 after shipping/currency conversion. Not sure what the conversion is today though
Great Review Man are these gloves good for Clinch Work ?
I heard very good things about these gloves, but honestly, they were not for me. Had them 16 oz in velcro though. Width wise there is room for like 2 more fingers but the whole finger compartment is very tight and they definitely need breaking in which is somewhat bothersome with gloves that aren't very comfortable.
yea its not a glove that everyone is going to like, 16 oz would be too big IMO mexican gloves really excel in the smaller weights like 12 and 14oz or lower. Once they break in though they are super nice, still not the most comforatble glove but for what they are i personally love my pair
How long was the shipping??
I have had a pair of 16 oz for a while but stopped using them because they still a bit loose on the back of my hand and I normally can only fit in 16oz gloves. I also noticed that over time I can start to feel my knuckles if push down on the outside of the foam. I finally ditched them because I hurt my knuckle on a very hard Cleto Reyes round punch pad. How is the foam on the 12oz? Can you punch through the knuckles?
Onx is the best. It’s all I use
They make grant gloves . They make gloves for superleaders USA as well
This is urban legend that they make Grant gloves. I'm sure they not. The shape of gloves is similar, but size is not. Grants are much bigger in size.
you should check out Zaragoza 16oz MX gloves 🔥
Wich is better these or winnings?
I'm also on the fence between these two brands.
Winnings Hands Down
Dope review. I wish the white ones were still available. 😢
Great review Damero, I always wanted to get a pair of Gils. Im finding I like a rougher texture as the smooth ones my hands slip laterally some.
Me too I like the rougher texture of Gil and Necalli/Casanova more than the smoother liners.
So which are your favorite gloves the TM or the NS for the bag?
They look better without logo broo real clasic mexican gloves
I also have the velcro version of these gloves. The D rings kind of mess it up for me though
I own some tm boxeo they’re my favourite gloves! These look great!!! How do you rate them compared to the boxeo tm?? Thanks from Australia
You should try out some topboxer gloves, best bang for your buck in my opinion, I also have a pair of onx factors and apex gloves and love them to death. But I really enjoy using my topboxer gloves.
Really nice review Whats the length and width of the 16 oz onx velcro glove .
Can you make a tight fist in these? Just tried a pair of hayabusa’s, nice glove but unable to make a tight fist in them.
yes i wouldnt compare the hyabusa and Onx gloves at all. they are completely different fits and feels. Hyabusa is worse in every way imaginable and outsite of having 2 straps share nothing with the Onx gloves.
@@SpecialBrowny74 sent back the hayabusa and got the Onx Lace ups. Them jokers are the business!
Are these better than cleto Reyes
Not sure I don’t own a pair of cleto Reyes gloves
@@SpecialBrowny74 do u prefer the Gil or the boxeo tm?
@@michaelaguilar4578 i think that the BOXEO TM's are more versatile and modern in their construction. The Gils serve a more specific purpose for me but excel in that role as my heavy bag glove. Boxeo TM is the better glove for sure but the Gils have this very unique old school feel to them that i love
Yes , the leather of Gil have better quality than cleto and Gil made the gloves more heavyweight.
Winning has a high quality synthetic leather for their headgear and groin protectors
Would you prefer the velcro onx factor gloves over hayabusa t3 lx gloves I’ve had bad wrist issues even when using wraps with gloves like fairtex universal sparring gloves do you think these gloves more wrist support without wraps than gloves like hayabussa t3 with wraps?
I dont like hayabussa at all personally. i think they conflate wrist support with straight up stiffness and dont allow for much fluidity in my striking i feel. the ONX offer a ton of support and their padding is far superior to the hayabusa in my opinion. For $160 i would be looking elsewhere personally, if they were $120 i would say by all means that a decent bargain but at the current price point, especially if you already have wrist and hand problems, i would say its worth it to venture into the higher end gloves and get a far superior product. that just my opinion though
Update for you guys, the 12oz PU gloves ended up being a tad small for me so I decided to sell them to a buddy of mine who was looking for a pair of 12oz gloves for his next fight camp. Just an FYI, I’m going to try and get his feedback on the glove and see how he likes them since my experience with them is fairly limited, the 16oz Latex gloves have been heavy in my rotation so review coming soon
I have 16 oz velcro and love em
The best place to order ns gloves from is the boxing collector, then you know your not getting quality seconds.
loose liner is all i need to hear and i changed my mind about these new tm gloves....the old ones didnt have that problem with the pair i had gotten back then. I hate the feeling of loose liners...i guess new sporting is gonna be the way to go
I have the latex in 16 oz and for me the hand compartment is a little small but the liner doesn't bunch up and I still like them a lot.
One of the best from Mx, not up to date like modern gloves, but nostalgic old school, and great on the bag.
For real, as long as you know why you are getting Gil they are amazing fun. Going in thinking it’s going to be competing with Fly, ONX, and other modern gloves is the wrong mentality. Beautiful gloves
@@SpecialBrowny74 true, I tell ppl the same thing if you want modern comfort this ain’t for you 🤣
I placed an order for a custom pair a few weeks ago, once they are made and I receive them I'll provide my thoughts
Update: All and all the service was great! Not sure if it's because I live in Mexico but every thing went smoothly I got exactly what I asked for, and it only took maybe a little over 3 weeks, shipping took 1 day to get to me (the state I live in is next to where they AR emade so probably that's the reason I got them quick) and so far they are great gloves! The only thing I dislike is they are very overweight I got a 14oz and one glove weighs 17.5 and the other one 18oz. If you have any questions let me know!
Do they add their logo on customs?
@@Chooong7 they do
🤤 p̶r̶o̶m̶o̶s̶m̶
Great info, nice looking gloves.
Thanks, hopefully I’m not rambling too long when I do these vids
I’ll never buy a glove from them again. I ordered a custom pair. Toyed with me for months and months telling me they were ready, almost ready, close to being done, finally ready….sent me a picture and the gloves were not what I ordered!! Finally just said please send me my money back. and they never sent me anything. No money and no gloves. Worst company ever. Refuse to ever buy anything from them again and will tell everyone to avoid that company at all cost.
When did this happen?
@@GamingKing-ql6fq ordered the gloves January 2019. And by July 2019 I was asking for my money because I received no gloves and no refund.
Wow I apologize about the audio that I cut in at the beginning. That was gross to listen to lol
haha, interesting review anyhow
Fuckin scared me lmaoooo
New Sporting is shady as hell. This is just me making a guess, but I feel like the reason that these gloves didn't have a tag on the wrist is because these were rejected in qc. I know NS makes a shit ton of gloves for other brands and their qc is all over the place. Regardless, beautiful gloves man. I hope you really enjoy them!
The gloves themselves feel super premium, but it’s just the QC that is a bit suspect. I feel if they just expanded their team to alleviate any issues they are having with order load they would really be right up there with the best gloves on the market. Excited to put these gloves to work regardless, next pair of New Sporting I’m for sure going through Edgar
@@SpecialBrowny74 How are they holding? Are you enjoying using them so far?
@@jimmynin6521 Ive been using the Boxeo TMs a lot more recently, simply because i really want to get a solid review out for them. I have used the NS gloves a handful of times on the pads and on the heavy bag. I think they would have been a much more solid pick up in a smaller size. thje 16oz is a little bulky for the heavy bag IMO, on the pads they feel great though. not really sure why they feel crisp on pads and clunky on the bag though. They are incredibly comfortable in terms of the hand compartment and leather quality. Really beautifully made in my opinion. Will start incorporating them more and more into my rotation now, just finished a fight camp so i have time to play around with them. Am going to try and have a review of the TM's and a pair of Isami, my two main gloves this camp, by monday if possible and will begin the process with the New Sportings
Hey man. Nice review. Ironically, I also have the TMs and the 16 ox ONX in velcro. Can you tell me how the hard compartment feels between the 12 oz and 16? I’m concerned because some 12 oz gloves are just not big enough especially in the finger length which makes is uncomfortable to make a good fist and punching surface. I definitely love how the 16s feel once I fully broke them in.
Are you talking about the TM’s or ONX? In the TM’s I had a different padding so they fit much smaller the ONX gloves fit perfectly however. The heat molded foam really allows that 1 to 1 fit in the 12oz so no need to worry about that so long as you adequately heat treat them
Confusing question, my bad. I was asking about the hard compartment size between the ONX 12s compared to the 16s. Where are you training at in Denver?
That PU sandwiched between to latex layers would probably mage a great sparring glove
Are your Isami gloves the mma sparring glove?
Nope they are 16 oz velcro sparring gloves, the same ones that CSquared has a review up for just in blue instead of white and gold
@@SpecialBrowny74 review those. I have not seen much on Isami boxing gloves other than that CSquared review
Nice video, you should buy more gloves to review.
This is the kind of support my bank account and girlfriend is afraid of 😂
@@SpecialBrowny74 mine too but i can't help myself
