True bro back when there was only one season i thought it was gonna be a SAO clone, but then the story got me hooked, not top tier but pretty solid, the ss2 came around and it didnt do really well so i stopped watching it, then last week i found out about ss5 and started picking up where i left, and damn ss3 didnt start out strong but it got pretty solid later on and ss4, tho i dont wanna overhype it, is where it got me completely in love with the serie,

I like watching stupid shows sometimes, and season one of Danmachi was my stupid anime for the season. I’m so glad I watched it because each season has been better than the last.

First Season Best Season. but... Third Season is my personal Favorite! ... However, My Father who's like 90... Third Season is Worst Season. lol! I think the Name is a joke on Bell teachings or whatever, like goes out but is the one saved and enamored and that becomes His thing.

Im watching this 3 days later so hopefully its not too late But Danmachi is one of my PERSONAL favorites out there. It might not be that popular but it does quite a bit of things right (as well as things wrong). Overall its VERY solid anime for people to enjoy. I heard you mention a bit of questions towards the end and Im pretty sure they get MOSTLY answered as you go on more and more into the seasons. I will be honest with you. I heard u say in the video that you were in szn 2 Id say 2-3 are pretty "weak" (2 being more weaker than 3) when it comes to Danmachi but you get the payoff with SZNs 4-5 WHICH ARE GOOOOOOOOOD Enjoy it and thanks for giving DANMACHI a try - from a Danmachi FAN

If you still proceed watching it. Dont drop it in season 2 and season 3. Try until season 4 its worth it in my opinion. Some drop after season 2 or 3. Just try season 4.

Actually fun fact the title was originally Familiia myth. However they changed the title because Familia myth doesn't attract the same number as its second name. (Yea ecchi sells) Second fun fact the new title actually comes from Bells original motivation. Which they did cut it from the anime. He started adventuring to pick up chicks in the dungeon. But ironically he was the one who got picked up in the dungeon.

DanMachi is a fucking FANTASTIC show. The problem for me as well was the title, but as soon as I watched the first season I literally couldnt stop myself, caught up with the anime and started reading the novel!

The title and premise of the show is a play on the old hero trope. The intent layed out by his Grandfather was for him to save a damsel in the dungeon so she would fall in love with him. Instead, a girl saves him in the dungeon and he falls in love with her. The love and admiration he felt after being saved gave rise to the unique skill that boosts his growth potential in proportion to his feelings. It's a joke title hence why we all just call it Danmachi.

if you think season 1 is solid, then get ready because once you get past the harder to watch season 2, you have season 3 which is on par with season 1 and then season 4 and 5 which is in my opinion the best seasons of danmachi

season 6 would be the start of the biggest peak of danmachi the release of volume 20 is wild so much going on like everything was fire!

Yes I definitely think that the pacing of re zero impacts the quality of the story. For context, I think it took me like 40-50 hours to read the entire material of season 2(I read the novels), and I thought it was so good, mainly because I got to spend a lot of time getting all the information from the story and letting it sink in. Also, the internal monologue and the writing style of re zero makes it very entertaining to read, and I think that gets lost in the anime.

So you didnt like it because you couldn't piece things together or wait for the story to progress and explain it for you?

I remember reading the manga's ending and it left me feeling weirdly... bare. Even after I sat down and tried to organize my thoughts, it felt like I was missing pieces of the puzzle. Highly recommend it.

i began watching re:zero out when i heard about the third season, i'm loving it, pretty sure this series has cemented my taste for helpless MC'S in a fucked up setting,

I think your actual problem is with the time spent per volume in the anine, people always try to mix it up with a load of cut content you can recite off of fan sites but obviously four anime episodes spent on one volume is far bettef than two where you read around the gaps off of a website. Season 1 maybe sold you it wrong because it spent episodes 1-11 on volumes 1-3, then sped through 4-two thirds of the way into 9 in episodes 12-25 so almost twice the volumes in just over the same amount of time. I don't care as much about cut content spoiling things because the problem isn't cut content but the sum of its parts giving people a strange impression of the series. Season 2 covered the end of volume 9-15 in 25 episodes ie just over 6 volumes, that's a big reason why it felt different. Episodes were even longer than season 1 too so it had a massive effect. Even with the cut content criticised in season 2 that still has a much more similar feel to the novels so it's not as big an issue.

Re Zero is my favorite show but I'll agree the author likes to cook up convoluted sh*t a bit too much. It is definitely not an anime you can watch with your brain turned off. They be dropping the biggest hints about the lore and story with a 1sec line from a character in a discussion that had nothing to do with it, or in side contents (season 3 breaktime I'm looking at you). For once, I'd the show is a bit too much into "show, don't tell", to the point that the average watcher who doesn't have the time to look into each hint will think that the anime is just pilling up mysteries without explaining anything.
