Wondering what juice machine you're using.
Ok but don't fit this crap with no underlay
Is this company a scam??
Rule number 1. Do not use a stretcher like the one shown in this video unless you want broken kneecaps. That looks like a very basic Stikatak setup, also definitely a DIY tutorial, any real fitter would not show you most of those fitting methods but for someone who hasnt done it before, it may well get you over the line. However, if your planning on just having the one room fitted it would be cheaper to pay someone professional than buy all that overpriced cheap tat and having a go yourself and without any disrespect intended it would much likely be a much better finish and take a lot less time!
I'm suck a little einsteins but the other ones in my room will not me proof the rest and I will say the following is OK as well I will send this is the fatest to be honest with the guy I have to do that I have scan to make it work
Felt back carpet
I can do the same job with 3 tools.
I bought that edging stair tool thing, Stanley knife and seam roller on ebay plus a ruler, tape and carpet tiles because I am a poor as hell disabled woman; just moved into my first flat after being homeless but no one told me the floor was bare concrete. Have never fitted carpet in my life but I'm artistic so going at it trying to get everything to line up perfectly, hide all 560 odd seams and trim around radiators/fireplace etc with the sharpest, neatest edges I can. I'm going to be so proud of myself when I'm done.
@@SobrietyandSolace How did it go?
@@abigailadams9235 Pretty fucking impressed with myself considering how blunt my knife got with the thick backing. It took a lot of dry laying to find the most efficient layout and wiggling things around by millimetres, not helped by the fact not one single wall or doorframe in the building (it's not even a proper 'house' lol) is straight. Every cut has to be exact because I can't hide things with the pile of the carpet and there is absolutely zero stretch or shrinkage. But thankfully I'm good at thinking creatively about shapes, could eyeball curves around objects pretty well. I spread the job out over 2 weeks or so whilst waiting for more carpet tape to arrive. All things considered I've done the most efficient and harmonious job that could be done. It's all stayed in place, doesn't hold a bunch of dust with my allergies, hard wearing. If it gets mud tracked in on it I can just wait until it dries and brush it off. It's not luxurious soft plush carpet but it does the job. Thanks for asking x
Use this vid for a felt carpet I fitted for kids room without underlay, thanks for the vid.
That half ass install won't fly in the U.S.
This is not a great idea if you have to remove the carpet one day. The glue residue will remain on the floor. Underlay is best.
This video is quite clearly aimed at the non professional average diyer that wants to fit their own carpet. Considering this I believe this is a great tutorial . Yes it may not be how a skilled fitter would fit a carpet and the tools used are a bit naff but the end results and the satisfaction of doing it yourself is all that matters .
what is he stretching the carpet onto LMAO what is the point lol
as soon as the dogs piss on it there goes the bond. another gimmick
Hold up, wait a minute. What kind of houses you living in for a dog to be pissing in the corner of a room 😂
this wont hold a carpet stretch
what country. is there
Why kick it to get rid of the creases and then move it into place to reach the alcove......doesnt make sense at all as your putting the creases back in.
Kevin Jones because he doesn't have a clue what he's doing. Videos like this just encourage untrained cowboys to call themselves fitters
☺☺☺
can I have the number of the guy fitting the carpet in this video please? thank you
