Thanks man, this overall worked... the only problem I had was that the .p12 file wouldn't export because it was grayed out... Solved by going on the keychain app, "My Certificates" tab, Expand the certificate, select both the certificate and the key with your name below, right click and "Export 2 items", that exported the certificate as a .p12 file.

i am not able to save the certificate in p12 format it shows faded out

What certificate/identifiers info would be different for production app? I have the notifications on test device running well.
