Coyote Capers by Kylan DeGhetaldi (@ragtimerev I believe is the account he uses now). One of my favorite novelties at the moment (the trio reprise would be much easier with a third hand...). #ragtime #novelty #piano #improv #improvisation #kylandeghetaldi #coyotecapers #maxlibertor

I've been obsessed with a few Joplin tunes recently. Here's one that I've been working on. In my opinion and of what I've seen, this is one of Joplin's most interesting and complex pieces. When you listen to the second strain for the first couple times, you just have no idea what's going on... I hope you enjoy my rendition of this one! It's got a couple of mistakes here and there, but I still f...

Good performance. It sounds like if Chopin composed a Ragtime. This is an interesting piece of Joplin.
Very nice video and Tom Brier being awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award is more than deserved!
Can you make a ragtime piano solo rendition (cover tune) of the melody of this? It might have to go at a slightly different tempo.
@@stalemateib3600 Honestly, I don’t know if I could do that well enough that I would find it interesting enough to upload.
AMAZING. SOUNDS AMAZING AND ONE OF MY FAVORITES FROM JOPLIN ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
Max, read your comments with interest on Adam's live concert today. Nice piece.
Tuff
you nailed the swingin' third section. Not a lot of pianists get that part like Schutt did. nice work.
Frederick has to be the best Gershwin pianist alive. I don't hear many other people play Gershwin as well as he does
just listening to this makes my hands sweaty
Very nice!
While the playing was great, is it horrible if I say the thing I notice most about this is Adam Swanson is in normal (non-professional) clothes! He's always dressed so nicely when sitting down at a piano! :)
Max is. Fantastic. Aynn
thanks .... applause.... great performance!!!
WOWWWWWWWW thank you for this omg
Awesome!! It was great meeting you at the contest!
Any updates or interviews with Tom? We want his opinion ❤❤
Great!
Incredible!
The chord at 5:16 was really moving, and it was amazing to experience this live. Was great to meet you and hear you play, Max! Looking forward to hearing more of your playing. -BF
Thank you so much! :) You're Billy, I'd assume?
After hours, you lucky bastard xD Those are the best times, the afterhours!
Indeed😂
Awesome as always!
What is so hard about spelling your name correctly? I don't understand it
Wow!
Amazing Max! Keep playing and sharing! Cheers!
This is amazing, Id say this is just as good as how adam Swanson played it!

woah awesome performance! I just found about this rag today too right before I came across this haha
Thank you so much! It's a really fun one. Luckey Roberts is definitely one of my favorite not only composers, but also pianists. In other words, his music's already creative enough, but I love how he plays it compared to other pianists. I tried to base my arrangement mostly off of how he plays it. And also Adam Swanson!
@@maxlibertor Wow cool! I’ll definitely look more into Luckey Roberts for sure haha. And I was introduced to this song through Adam Swanson’s arrangement how funny you mentioned it!
OMG! Wonderful!!!
Oh my gosh its my favorite piano player

This was at the afterhours? Makes me want to come back to the festivals xD
Tom brings joy to my days and a pep my step, I hope he's well and knows how much fun he's spread with his talent.
Very nice video. Thank you for posting this.

beautiful playing!
Sometimes it's better to play it at a slower tempo; it still worked out just fine.
yep
Hope Tom is well, he is such a legend. He really transcended the ragtime genre and brought his genius to so many people who would never know much of the genre otherwise, such as myself. His first attempt at sight reading some old nintendo games literally brought tears of nostalgia to my eyes in a way I don't think anyone else can touch.
Just for your information, in case you dont know about this already, Tom was a Victim of a tragic accident and left paralyzed and with severe brain damage about 5 years ago or so. As far as i have heard he regained some control over his motor funcions and is somewhat able to play the piano again. If you want to find out more about his status, i believe the channel "keeper1st" keeps you updated.
i really should have watched the video beforehand this is embarrassing
Beautiful! Toms the most inspiring under rated creative force ever!
Nice performance! Always a pleasure to hear Tom’s music. Thanks.
I thought I'd heard every Tom Brier composition, but this one is new to me! Sounds more like Dana Suesse or something. Thanks for something new.
Absolutely. It definitely does feel like there’s always new Brier. Even if you personally know him, as you probably know… he’s just got so damn much 😂
Well done 💯
The interplay between these two is incredible. Thank you so much for sharing.
Hey Max, you are doing it great, keep it going, mate. I am a Tom's fan and surely would make him proud to know his pieces (all of em) are echoing still for all around the world and it wont fall under forget, because you and many others pianists are handing this ahead. Congrats for this amazing performance. Greetings from Brazil.
Truly a force of Nature, as Bill said. All my love to Tom. The lives he's touched with his music and his performances are countless.
💯
I love that Eb part. It feels properly Brierized
