Jim, I was just watching one of your shows on RUclips and you were talking about joining groups that we’re not obeying the Lord and I know that’s me. I just go to church and go home and I watch TV about God. I ride the Bible and I do all that kind of stuff, but I don’t have a group that I go to. I live in Spokane And Jodi Thornton and I go to this little church. Live church here on government way or something like that which that isn’t to church I wanna be at I want to be at your church but I always go to that church because my son goes there and his girlfriend started going when she’s little and it’s closer but my heart is at your church, not that Church And I’ve gotta start turning my life around and joining a group and getting into group groups because I am disobedient with God I talk about him all the time I talk to my kids about and my friends, but I don’t go to groups. I go to church and I come home. Can you pray for me and give me the strength to? I am 67 and give me the strength to turn my life to the Lord completely because I love the Lord with all my heart, but I’m not doing what I’m supposed to be doing and I don’t go to groups and I do just go to church. I mean, I watch your program every day all day long programs, but I don’t go out and talk to people. I mean, I have in my lifetime believe me, but not not in the past so you know 10 years I just go to church and come home so can you have a people pray for me I live in Spokane and then Jodi Thornton and I need prayer to help me get the ambition in the strength to get into a session and drive myself over there. Thank you.

Could use some prayer. I am struggling. My wife and I are separated and I haven't been living up to what I claim. Please pray for healing, restoration, patience, forgiveness, mercy, for my wife and I both. Also, for me to learn to put God first and change my mind and thinking, behavior, and for God to help reveal to me how I can put him first, serve him and the body. Thank you!

I guess it shouldn't amaze me that yesterday's (Nov.3) sermon here at our church, Creekside, was about the exact same subject! Pastor Mike spoke about the importance of becoming mature believers who, in turn, help others to become mature disciples, and how the life groups, which at Creekside are called missional communities, are essential in facilitating that process. He even used the term, "life on life": doing life together, finding ways to serve together, caring for each other, reaching out to those who need Christ and being ready to welcome into your group someone who is seeking and maybe not even born again yet, and not getting freaked out by that dynamic. So, the Holy Spirit is the same Holy Spirit here in Alaska as He is there in North Idaho! Sure do love and appreciate you all. We pray for you often, Bonnie Palmer

Good stuff

I witnessed a church in Asia that embodied this entire message. They have a system/process they call ‘The 4 E’. Engage, Establish, Equip, Empower. They believe every believer is a disciple, and every disciple makes disciples. Church is not a spectator sport. Discipleship is relationship. It wasn’t a new church concept, it was how Jesus originally modeled how church should be. The church just got away from the original design. The current typical church model grows by addition where the original design disciple making church grows by multiplication. Glad I saw this video, brings back memories:)

I don’t understand the disconnect. One of you said, “I can accept you’re saved even if you’re not baptized.” But the fact that they are saved is proof of their baptism. Jesus said it plainly. He baptizes with his spirit. If water baptism has anything to do with salvation that’s very good news and we know gospel means good news. So Paul stated he came not to baptize but to preach the gospel or good news and it’s believing in that news about Christ being our sacrifice and has been resurrected to cleanse us of our sin by his blood. And when we place our trust in that truth we become baptized and no water required.

I just believe Jim he says what is in his heart and the truth ha the first pastor that I have heard say the truth. Amen Jim your church is the one I want all my family to come to because your church is true ly a church that the lord is there amen I feel the lord comes out of you and I feel the lord in you amen.
