Lambretta timing
New external pick up fitted. Easy to fit and set up, timing set at 17 degrees BTDC, rock solid.Rather than moving the stator plate and taking the flywheel off each time, can (with care) move the pick up while the engine is running.Also added bonus if the pick up fails the one on the stator is there as a back up (this was set at 17 degrees BTDC the traditional way prior to setting the timing on the external pick up). Trying to hold the camera ,timing gun and rev the scooter ain't easy all at the same time!!

Lambretta Club of Great Britain members rally at Malton 2016.Quick run form Malton to AF Rayspeed then onto Scarborough.Finishing off running in GT200 barrel, hence me treating it kindly :) (feathering the throttle) keeping it between 50-55MPH. Carb set up rich with the very hot day made it even richer, you can hear the 4 stroking occasionally.

Edited version down to 90 seconds of the Lambretta pie warmer. Take your chosen savoury , wrap it in tinfoil, secure to your battery tray.Go for a ride, have fun take in the scenery.Warming time depends on speed and the length of the ride - different kits may give different cooking times.Anyway we did a couple of hours at a steady (gas mark) 50-55MPH with a Mugello 186 kit.Pull over unwrap and ...

Going up to Llandudno scooter rally on the Friday.Rained from start to finish on the way up! very wet roads, diesel spill "rainbows" every where on islands and the main roads.Quality weekend though, for the return journey, just play this backwards as it was exactly the same coming back, rain , diesel "rainbows", greasy roads & slippy rain covers/manhole covers

Just found your channel and watching your videos, I’ll subscribe just in case you decide to make more one day 👍😀 I bought my first scooter an SX200 in 1970 and loved it, kept it til 1988 then had to let it go, got a ‘62 Li150 now not quite the same lol
Can be set up for around town steady riding and the other pick up for faster riding... I fitted a switch to switch from one to the other.
Great vid mate, but maybe it’d be better without the music. Just saying.

Sounds great, can't wait to get mine on the road and do this run. Been to Scarborough many times but never on the Lammy. Keep the faith and ride safe.
I've just had a pasty for lunch ,if only I'd have seen this first ,I could've killed two birds with one stone , spin on the lambretta and lunch .
