Upon pressing the start button on the controller to unpause it, the game crashed before screen turned purple then completely black. I don't know what caused the crash and black scree, but I know one thing for certain: NONE of my other games have do...

Wtf is sonic doing here bruh
He was added as a guest character.
I was about to blame the algorithm for showing me a video with 0 views but on the other hand, I did click on a video because of cute gorl
Cute girls, amazing writing, and even better gameplay.
Wait isn't this supposed to be a side-scrolling beat em up series? It looks so weird to play as a warriors-esque hack n slash.
You probably played the 3DS games or something.
Alcremie was the best pull
Heck yeah!
i love how i was in a video named "Way of the Samurai is Like a Living World" and on the side bar this was on the recommended lmao, take my like because i like touhou
This is really cool

I'm a big fan of the Tetris Blast flavor.
What the sigma
There is no way you just recorded your tv with your phone for 45 minutes and uploaded it
I did.
Omori is too depressed to even dance 😭
while this video format does bring me back to like 2008, it is pretty jarring these days. Why not record this on an emulator if you cant or dont want to be able to afford a recording device for console
I prefer to play on original hardware.
Never give up
I like and il sub
This is a cool video keep up the good work and dont stop (i subbed and liked) I also noticed you are on Bedrock PlayStation 4 edition and it'll be cool if you were the first ever minecraft youtuber to dedicate your whole youtube channnel to minecraft and make a 1000 Days in Bedrock survival Just Add subtitles and yeah if you need help with thumbnails, you can ask me
I personally enjoy variety, it is the spice of life after all.
@@Cinny_Boo nice maybe add that to your channel description
Personally I don't care if it's "not meant" to be competitive, it's fun to make it competitive. I really like the excitement of seeing two or three top players in a category try to get the best run they can in a limited time, it puts a cool although perhaps "unusual" twist on things and it's just people playing the games they love at a high level. The point isnt to see who wins or loses, its more performative and shows what can be done because not many players take the games that far. The super mario bros argument is rather flawed in my opinion as these games actually have properly well thought out scoring systems and nuances that are different in each game, they can be routed in so many ways with different optimisations and are clearly a carefully considered and for the most part well crafted part of the game by ZUN. SMB having score seems like it's just there for the purpose of being there, just another thing but it doesnt really matter as a part of the game and as far as I know, largely ignored by players. As someone who has watched, commentated and played in various matches of TWC I think it's perfectly enjoyable to do so for us, as you said it depends on the person and I understand that you as a casual player your way of enjoying it is different but this video seems like no more than you being dismissive by saying the Touhou games have to be strictly single player. The "play something else" part of the video is particularly ignorant like come on just let people play what they want lmao. Why would that matter to you. In conclusion I really don't understand your point but I appreciate we simply have highly different opinions on this topic If you're gonna delete my comment then whatever but I want to come across as responding to your points in a way you don't find hostile Also based Mountain of Faith enjoyer me too it's my fav
This is a perfect example of something I disagree with, but I can give mad respect to. I might be a "casual" Touhou player, but I'd say I'm a decent enough Yu-Gi-Oh player to be classified as a "semi-pro" level player. This is from someone who played many games competitively over the years, but the mood was killed because of the competitive scene whether it was performative or serious because of how terrible the communities are.
Cringe asf
what is your vrc username?
I have to ask why you want to know.
@@Cinny_Boo you seem like a pretty chill dude, I want to hangout with you
Despite what the people in my Touhou World Cup video say, I really am. I don't play too often unless I'm passing time while editing a video, but I wouldn't mind.
The point of TWC isn't solely about the competition. While yes, the event is formatted in the style of a tournament, with competitors being split into teams and awarded points based on placings in their matches, winning or losing is hardly the point here. For example, in MoF scoring, you have the current WR holder, EBM, going up against two very good (but nowhere near WR level) players who would stand very little of a chance at winning at all. Predictably, the WR holder ended up winning the match, but the point of the match wasn't to see who would win. TWC isn't just "who wins, who loses". It's a showcase of the best gameplay that the Touhou community has to offer, bridging together those already invested in the gameplay community and introducing newcomers to a vibrant gameplay scene. Calling it "fucking stupid" because you believe that it should exclusively be a single-player game is not only dismissive, but close-minded. The part where you said that people who "play nothing but that all the fucking time" should play something else is doing a massive disservice to them. You, as an outsider, have only seen them and their gameplay and jumped to the conclusion that they do nothing but play that all day, every day without change. Not only do you neglect to see that these are, in fact, normal people who simply happen to be some of the best at their categories (these people absolutely have other things to do, but you only really get to see their gameplay because that's what they specialise in) but assuming that all they do is play the same thing nonstop mindlessly is extremely flawed perception. There is frequent experimentation with routes and improving on one's own abilities. In fact, recently, a route overhaul led to the former long-standing MoF scoring WR to be broken. There are many layers of intricacies that come with being the absolute best at your categories that you are simply dismissing by telling them to "go play something else" and to not "play that all the fucking time". I do think that you could've made a better video to express your opinion than by calling it "fucking stupid" and going off-topic for at least a good 2/3rds of the video. I don't want to force you to change your viewpoint, but to summarise, this video is a) extremely dismissive, b) very close-minded and c) lacks much of a real argument.
I'm not a show off.

He's a great cat when he doesn't bite my face.

Unfortunately it is. A buddy of mine and I got harassed by a person and was saying racist things towards me because I'm partially hispanic. I don't encounter people like this often, but it's really bad when I do.

No, it's Sanae.

i think that you might be missing the point of twc a little bit. In my opinion its more performative than competetive. The Scoring rubrics might not make sense but it doesn't stop the players from putting on a good show. While there is a competetive element, its mostly in the qualifier matches, during the main event the players can do essentially whatever they want. There is also no reward for winning other than recognition but you'd get that from qualifying into the event anyways. The whole event is basically just a showcase of what the top level of each category looks like.
This is a very valid, respectable point. I play other things competitively, and play Mountain of Faith on the side, so I'm willing to accept this as a valid criticism. Thank you very much for your thoughts!
9:11 almost 10 minutes into the video and I've really tried to hear what if any argument you have and it's just "this shouldn't be competitive because it's just not / i don't like it" maybe there's more substance later on but you're already repeating yourself a lot so I don't know, let me know a tl;dr of what if anything I'm missing also on "why isn't super mario bros scoring competitive" because smb's scoring system isn't well design and so players don't find it fun to compete for. it's really not deeper than that man, people play games they love for fun also 6:57 those are pokemon cards not yugioh lol
I have a Yu-Gi-Oh deck in an Eeveelution deck box.

It's fine if you don't like touhou world cup but I see nothing wrong with it. Mario64 isn't suppose to be competitive but speedrunning the game can be. Even a game like super smash bros. melee wasn't suppose to be competitive, it's suppose to be a casual party game. Just play the way you like to play it. You can compare gaming accomplishments all you want or just not care about it, the choice is yours. I feel the "easy mode" meme made some touhou fans a bit mean towards the ones that haven't done as many accomplishments. Being competitive in scoring games are much more rare but some people like it. It's often a sign that the game is bad for speedrunning and has a more interesting and thought out scoring system. I don't do scoring runs in touhou but I did do a lot in starfox 64 long ago. Even the expert mode in startfox was way too easy so I had to see how far I could push my score. I never compared myself much to others, I just didn't want to plus I wasn't scoring well enough to be consider a top scorer. At the same time you are right. Just like starfox 64 in the touhou core games, you go through stages fight bosses and the score is only a means to score extra lives so you can survive. Most people just beat starfox 64/touhou on normal mode or less and then they are done with the game. The bar is quite high just to get into scoring at all let alone score good enough to compete with others. Do you considered speedrunning competitive? Seems like it. IMO somebody can be either, you can compete to see who gets the fastest time or just not care. I don't think speedrunning is much different from scoring. You get a number either score or time, and you try to improve that number either against yourself or against others. Even just doing a run like yours has quite a high bar, you have to be good at mario 64 and learn the tricks and more than likely you did all the other accomplishments such as getting all the stars and beating the game which for a lot of gamers sets the bar quite high already. It is interesting to think about what should and shouldn't be competitive but at the end of the day it has lots of factors such as what you have accomplished in the game and how much you want to play it past it's original scope. I like scoring games and time trails because it's basically the only way you can compete against yourself. Mario 1 scoring is just not indented to be pushed hard. There are too many cheap tricks to make your score go up too much too. I would argue zun does put good effort most of the time into the scoring system and that these people are a little strange but not that weird. Btw this whole post is basically because I saw a recent starfox 64 WR score run and I think that it deserves some level of respect. It's cool if you disagree with me though. Sorry for writing a book but that is how I see it. You can reply to me but I won't tell you to think any certain way and I won't go back and forth in replies. since post is so big: Key points: -Most people will just finish the game never try to speedrun or score. It's a small group of people. -Good scoring games are somewhat rare. -Might be and alterative to speedrun depending on the game. -scoring in general is kind of a old thing from arcades when things were more local.
As someone who is a speedrunner and plays Tetris/Puyo Puyo as well as Touhou, I just feel like people should play to improve. Learning a puzzle game as well as learning a pattern or trick to shaving off a few seconds takes a lot of time to do, but playing only one game genre a certain way just makes a person have a superiority complex. It's true that not all people in a community are like that, but there are the people who will use the term "skill issue" to make fun of even someone new to a certain game which is something I have seen and actually been told myself that's the issue. It's not really the game, it's just those types of people who give the competitive scene a bad look.
I'd say it's less that "has highscore = competitive", but more that shmups have long competitive history for decades at this point, and a lot of Touhou's influences (CAVE, Raizing, etc.) did come from a culture of arcade sweatloards competing for leaderboard positions. That's also why ZUN adds a ton of difficulty modes and constantly tinkers with complex scoring systems - he *was* a part of that competitive culture (in fact, "ZUN" came from his arcade acronym), and he designs all those systems to encourage more hardcore players to chase the high score. That said, sorry to hear you got harrassed over an opinion, that's lame under any circumstances. Hope you're having a nice day!
