3:05 I really REALLY hope one day this place could get ahold of and display Maria’s REAL Topo puppet if it’s possible, I’m sure there were multiple made right? (I know there was two versions from the Ed Sullivan show, a very early design and then his current design that was used to this day…) I would think they could get one of them somehow instead of that bootlegged test dummy puppet, still cool they included a dummy version of him, but I really wish they could one day get one of Maria’s REAL Topo puppets from that and have it displayed there, if Sheri Lewis’ original Lambchop puppets, Jim Henson, and Mr. Rogers puppets that were all real and original from the actual show can get displayed in museums so can Topo… (I hope someone could ask them about that.. Surely they could try through Maria’s family or Estate, if they don’t or because of copyright that would be one thing, but honestly I think he deserves it! :) (Honestly I’m surprised they don’t have one of those real ones of him on display at any puppet museum! He deserves to be displayed like all the others! :) I really hope it’s possible for some museum like this to get ahold of one of the real ones of him one day! :) (They still use his current design puppet for events and stuff, so I’m not sure why Maria or her estate never made replicas just to display them to be at this sort of thing, not sure if replicas of that version or his other earlier design version in puppet form are even out there somewhere private or what, but honestly those two versions of him belong in a museum like this, it needs to happen! :)

This is great. It thought having Dorothy and Glinda do the hustle was a little much, though. The Lion's costume is a fun homage to The Wiz at just the appropriate point in the music (around 7:00 and & 7:39 are "Ease on Down the Road" riffs. Harold Wheeler orchestrated this album as well as the original Broadway production of The Wiz.
