Thanks for your videos. I have a question about the third equation on page 11. ho can be moved out of the derivative only if it is a constant with x.
so like bulk and convective mass transfer are not same
do we consider temperature,density as a position that follow the velocity?
In the energy equation, the enthalpy (temperature * heat capacity) will be advected with the velocity of the liquid. The same applies to other quantities such as the density. In this way, you are right.
@@heatquizdigitalteachingofh1832 How about the pressure? is it considerable also as a position?
What is the difference between convection and advection in mass transfer?
Advection is the transport of a species by the motion of the bulk phase. Convection comprises both, the advective motion as well as the diffusion (especially important through the boundary layer). I hope this clarifies your question.

For the equation on slide 10 for the heat flow shouldn't the numerator be A instead of 1?
@16:15 I think the last line is supposed to say Cv instead of Cp
