Vox Machinae 68 - VMML Season 6 - G4 vs The Pirates
Hello there, I recently connected my Meta Quest 3 to my Rog Ally X via Virtual Desktop to play Half Life Alyx. I got good results but the streaming quality is not great. I am thinking about investing in a Meta Link (or Oculink since OneXgpu has a port) to connect it wired and a OneXgpu to boost my Rog Ally X performances. Do you think it's doable ? Thanks in advance :)
I thought cellos did pizzicato but nice job🎉
These were really fun battles. Enjoyed playing with a bunch of ringers!
Indeed, Such a great way to end the season
Is this ''Space Ship Sim'' kinda game. Looking cool
Yeah, very decent for a 1 man dev game
@AmatureVRG Keep going man, you can do it
Cool
Thanks for playing! 👻
My pleasure, Easily Top 3 games I own on Quest
no joke but the saws are better than the axe also i somehow got a green jack
yeah, was making short work of the dogs, but it makes them explode immediately (thanks to the patron) which I didn't account for
@@AmatureVRG but what about the green jack
Cool but where did you get BUZZSAW and what number of version?
I acquired the buzzsaw in game from a shop event (last one before I died), The game itself I noticed had updated itself today to Ver: 1.1.1.8162
How do you extend the clause?
from memory, its the reload button
@@AmatureVRG what is the reload button?
@@AmatureVRG sorry Iam new
@@Chickenwithnugget not gonna lie, I haven't booted up bone lab in over a year. I want to say B (top button on the right controller)
Hey there! Huge shoutout for creating that awesome video for our game! 🎮✨ Your support means the world to us, and we’re totally stoked to see how you’re enjoying it. Keep being amazing 🙌🔥
I look forward to making a video featuring the unreleased content

Damn, I'm surprised how tiny peoples bases are. Mines are significantly larger, but that comes as a part of being factorio player. Definitely better on the combat part in this vid, I'm still working on my setup
yeah, I'm not convinced that bigger is better in this one, you want to leave plenty of room for bots to move about, and close enough that your not waiting on resource transference. Coming from dyson sphere project, where the factories end up litraly taking over the entire planet, this is a welcome change That being said, the new combat update did break a few of my programs, but i spent a few hours yesterday ironing out the kinks.
Cool as fuck
This is awsome
I really like how you can program the ship with just logic gates, though I wish there was more things you could program
your ship is a big breadboard
This is insane! Barely a game, more like an actual simulator. Granted we don’t use individual logic components irl, the premise is still very much there. I hope to see a game or update to this one that uses motherboards for control, and you could hook up other life support systems instead of setting up the computing in the entire vehicle lol!
its essentially just visual programming, which I'm half decent at, I hate writing code though, so visual coding it is. Of course the downside is that it gets very messy very quickly. I would hide all that stuff at the back of the ship though, except that they only give you 2 spare channels to work with and I would need 5 minimum, though I've thought about how I could get around that, but it would almost end up just as messy.
holy shit this game is mid, give me a real namco game
I found the responsiveness better than the drums in Beat Arena, But also, I am very bad at drums as it would seem, and Beat Arena is not just drums
How do you get into it I cant
Admittedly been forever since i played bone lab, but from memory, down on right stick
“They both missed! Shit! Shit! SHIT!! SHIT!!!” golden
"they both missed!" *Freezeframe* *Morgan Freemans voice* "It was in that very moment, Master Decoy knew he was in trouble"
I wonder if we’ve met in game before… 🤔 same name on meta btw just with VR on the end
I wouldn't rule it out, but I don't pay attention to the names of people I'm fighting most of the time.
“The sound of your shin bones snapping is… visceral.”😂
Just need to walk it off :P
That’s some smooth manual reload 👍🏼
weak...and should the lasgun have more than a 100 shots
depends on the power settings and the pattern of the lasgun
Must’ve been on low power and have already been used a bunch
was it playable? did you have any stuttering and were the graphics good or pixelated?
Was a steady 35ish fps from memory, graphics down low obviously. Playable, but not optimal
Having some trouble getting this working, but now i'll try it with this sort of diction. I appreciate this video~
yeah, its not the most responsive. a nice gimmick, but the gestures are easier to pull off in combat.
Hey could add you?
you could, but I dont play this very often any more
How did you get it
check the description for the links
That looks to be so much fun. Is there a vital playerbase? And do you think a newbie could get into some games, or is it just a league with scheduled games? Thx in advance
Most nights there's a decently populated server around 10pm EST I'm not going to lie, the player base is heavily stacked with veterans (some of them have litraly thousands of hours in the pilots seat at this point), but the majority want the population grow so they're very welcoming and will onboard you if you want the help. The league nights are there to ensure we have a reason to keep playing as well as to make sure the meta doesn't get stale. Contrary to my regular opinions though, this is one of the few games that is much better in competitive play, though if you want to join the league there is no skill perquisites and probably is one of the best ways to get into the game currently. I don't tend to record causal play because it tends to devolve into a moshpit, which is fine and fun, doesn't make for the best viewing experience. The game is also still under active development, though because it's 3 guys, updates are infrequent (roughly 1 medium sized update every 4 to 6 months) If you have further questions, the peeps over on the discord server are pretty awesome people and can help you further
@@AmatureVRG wow I didn’t expect such a detailed answer. Thanks for your reply. I just might pick it up and try out myself. Iron Rebellion is completely dead. And on Quest I can refund the game within 2 hours. I assume most of the playerbase is on PCVR but I hope it is still worth it on standalone. Thanks a lot
It's totally worth it. @@pxsaber2177
I play on quest myself, and it just got its q3 update, so it almost looks as pretty as the pcvr crowd (as i have a quest pro, I have to live with the downgraded quality lol) Even if you can convince 2 or 3 friends to buy in with you, there are 2 seperate 4 player cooperative modes and a full single player campaign. If it's even slightly your jam, you'll get a lot of mileage out of this title. But I digress, the dedicated players are extremely dedicated, they'll be more than happy to show you the ropes and play with you.
@@AmatureVRG Sounds great! I might try it tomorrow. If you like Id happily use your referral link so you get some dollars for your help 😅
YES! AI buddy pronounced my name right! First time hearing it from someones stream :P
Pretty sure it always did your name right, it really struggles with cali's and icebreakers though
I played the update yesterday it’s great same with the new weapon I still haven’t tried the new horde maps yet
We only played the one match hoping to unlock the rifle, will probably play a bit more today.
Aww no audio
yeah, sometimes that happens, haven't worked out why yet.
Hello brother, do you think its worth it getting the Quest Pro over Quest 3 for $700? would love to hear your opinion on the Quest pro and how your experience have been with it so far.
Whilst I've never owned a quest 3, I can compare it to the quest 2 (so you can make your comparisons for that) first of all, its really comfy to wear for hours, once you get the sizing right, it doesn't move, and it the pressure is on the back of your head and your forehead, not your eyes, and because the battery and ram are stored in the back part of the head strap, the weight is pretty well divided between the 2. next, the spring loaded strap makes taking it off and putting it on very easy, especially if you have glasses, which the unit can fit right over the top of without having to remove them. the pro controllers are far and above the traditional controllers, and work without occlusion in all angles the charging dock makes keeping the battery charged super easy and convenient that being said, the graphics are just going to be worse than Q3, and the passthrough is also worse nothing makes use of the eye or face tracking really and its technically next of the chopping block for end of support. I really like it, but you need to decide the pros and cons for yourself
@@AmatureVRG Appreciate the input brother, so in short terms it's not worth getting the pro version over the quest 3? $680 is honestly very attractive for the quest pro, not sure which one I should go for to be fair, maybe it's worth spending extra $200 for the pro for the quality of life and improvements it provides out of the box such us comfort and Convenience of the charging dock, and since the controllers track themselves self sufficiently is comparable to PCVR Headset's that were using base stations for tracking.
for what its worth, its technically better than the Q3 for streaming from VD because it has local dimming and PCVR games have better support for eye and face tracking, as well as not suffering from the graphical degradation of stand alone. I personally play both and the QPro does both well.
@@AmatureVRG Yeah you are probably right, I forgot to mention I will use it %90 of the time connected to a PC playing PCVR games, maybe occasionally some exclusive standalone titles like re4 and assassin's Creed, otherwise I could care less about standalone VR, infact I have never played standalone VR games because I never had mobile VR headsets, so it will be a new experience for me, I have been playing PCVR for more than 5 years, my current hmd is very outdated now. You have definitely convinced me to purchase the quest pro over quest 3. Appreciate your response brother, thank you for your advice. My apologies for wasting your time.
I was waiting for a dedicated PCVR Headset's from oculus to upgrade from my current headset, but unfortunately meta ditched PCVR entirely. Very sad their only focus now is standalone.
This looks interesting, curious to see what all there is to do later down the line
yeah, Lots of promise, but a long road before it gets there
森林,绿色地狱,照搬都不会,状态数据居然用ui显示😂
green hell was a little too limited in scope for my liking
I’d say it’s more like stranded deep than green hell
With a pirate twist
I have a 3070 but even on low it doesn't really run super smooth. Sequential or native. What specs do you have?
3060RTX and I7 - 7700 I was just running it on the default injector settings
Were you connected by cable or wifi/airlink? if its wifi/airlink, then was the latency annoying?
This was over Wifi via Virtual Desktop, and while the latency was slightly worse than when I stream from my regular PC, it was still very playable
Good to know. Thanks! @@AmatureVRG
Are you using the Z1 extreme version?
yes, didnt fiddle with the options too much, but set the graphics to low

indeed, but mecha combat is kind of a niche genre

Oh noo, I'm gonna get a bad suntan from that lasgun
Make sure you bring your sunnies
Anyone that makes fun of a lasgun hasn’t walked through a field of 1000 of them
why was this entertaining?
cathartic I suppose
hey, I'm having trouble making an avatar, can you make one for me, because when I'm wearing my avatar my arms disappear, and I don't know how to fix it.
I didn't make any of these, nor do I know how to. This was purely a showcase of the ones I liked most at the time.
Wow ! What an incredible enviroment..... be really interesting to see the actual game when it comes out, wonder when that will be ? Also how much will it remain true to this beautiful start !
The game has some serious potential, I had my eye on it for a few months now so I jumped at the demo. the interactions are nice, sometimes there are chests you can open by bashing the lock with a rock, one had a flintlock pistol in it, which required you to put the powder in, then the shot, then pull pack the hammer. this was my first attempt that I survived the night though.
