Transformations of Sine & Cosine Functions [with Professor Sue Steele]
[This is a revision of the original video, with clarification on the "B" coefficient at 3:44]
Some interesting changes occur when you introduce coefficients and additional terms to the sine and cosine functions - watch this video to see a few, and to better understand why these changes transform the original functions the way that they do!

Graphing the Sine and Cosine Functions [with Professor Sue Steele]
Просмотров 212Год назад
We know that in the context of the unit circle, the sine is the vertical value and the cosine is the horizontal value, but what if we map out the sine/cosine functions? What will they look like? Click this link for the notes that accompany this video: coming soon
Thinking Problem: Angle Position and Values [with Professor Sue Steele]
Просмотров 149Год назад
Given a particular vertical or horizontal (i.e., sine or cosine) value, can we estimate not only the angle that generated it, but also the partner value (i.e., the cosine or the sine)? Click this link for the notes that accompany this video: coming soon
Thinking Problem: Exact Values [with Professor Sue Steele]
Просмотров 181Год назад
In this video, we look at several angles and associated exact angle values. (Once you have seen all of the examples, ask yourself: what similarity did all four examples contain?) Click this link for the notes that accompany this video: coming soon
Exact Values [with Professor Sue Steele]
Просмотров 218Год назад
In this video, we determine the exact values of some very special angles, using nothing more than basic geometry! Click this link for the notes that accompany this video: coming soon
The Reference Angle [with Professor Sue Steele]
Просмотров 182Год назад
In this video, we define the term "reference angle," and illustrate the reference angle concept within a circle. Equivalent angles are also examined. Click this link for the notes that accompany this video: coming soon
Thinking Problem: The Unit Circle [with Professor Sue Steele]

Thinking About Area: Working Through the Car A & Car B Problem [with Dr. April Ström]
Просмотров 263Год назад
Instead of just saying, "find the area between the two curves," let's try looking at an application problem that helps make meaning of the area under the curves! The previous video provided the setup for the Car Problem; this video will work through the solution.

Graphing the Original Function from the Derivatives [with Dr. April Ström]
Просмотров 421Год назад
With just some limited information about the function's derivatives, you can sketch out a basic graph of the original function!

Great explanation. Nice touch including the graphs showing W H L. I've seen many related rates questions re: sliding ladder. but this was excellent.

May I point out something? I have gone through the playlist content for Financial Accounting, and I find that two modules are missing, ie, the periodic and perpetual inventory costing systems & bank reconciliations. Can Online Edvantage rectify this defect. Coz then the awesome playlist will be more complete and super awesome.
