⁠yeah but not entirely by choice. Due to raising prices in rent, we had to move back home for now. And while we are trying to find an affordable place, right now I don’t have anywhere to build and film new projects. But hopefully sooner rather than later I’ll be back to releasing new content on a regular schedule. There is still so much more I hav planned and would love to continuing sharing!

Is there someone with a similar design your aware of? If so please leave a link if possible! - I’m pretty sure I mentioned in the video that this was a design I came up with, BUT with the possibility of getting the idea from something I had seen somewhere else in the past.

Indeed, a youtuber named LEGO Lesson hopeso009 made a very similar design. His tutorial video was made 8 months ago, and yours was 3 months, and looks very similar to his.@@Plo_KoolBrickStudios

Oh yeah, I checked out the RUclipsr you mentioned, and the build design is uncanny!😅 That’s too funny. Goes to show like you mentioned, sometimes MOC builders can come up with very similar ideas unintentionally. Thanks for pointing it out though! Always good to double check and make sure someone isn’t intentionally trying to take credit for someone else’s design!

They’re actually both using different minifig parts from my own collection I used to create my own custom EP1 Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon Jinn instead of the actual official minifigs. Although it’s not too hard to get either of the official figures for a decent price if your willing to take the time to look and jump on a good deal through eBay, bricklink, bricks&minfigs, etc. Hopefully that answers your question!

@@makarzavorinSo I didn’t buy an original “official” LEGO Magna-guard because of the price. I had looked for a couple of years on and off (more so the last couple of months); and I was seeing a price range average between $30-50 USD on eBay, Etsy and Brick-link. So I googled the average price and found that chart I used in the video. Then last year I discovered JsLittleThings online store, like I mentioned in the video, and was able to get 10 of them that way. The link to their store is in the description if your interested. They are good quality! Hopefully that answers your question!

Yeah I’ll admit it uses some newer, unique pieces but I find the overall design to be worth it! And and answer to your question: I believe this is an original design. Although I think I have seen a similar design for the revolver being a headpiece before. But I’m not 100% sure if anyone else has. In one of my upcoming MOC tutorials for the IG100 Magna-Guard I know for a fact I’ve seen others use a similar head design, but the rest of that build will be my own design. Overall, I try to come up with original content! Thanks for the comments/question!

Thank you for the comments! It’s crossed my mind about doing this! Although my biggest obstacle for doing a project like that right now is I don’t have enough white pieces to build the interior AND exterior. And I’ll be honest, there’s some other projects I want to finish first where I already have the pieces needed. But perhaps overtime while budgeting I can collect enough pieces to accomplish this! It would be really cool! And like you mentioned, plenty of awesome source material.
