howdy! I know my essays were full of grammatical errors (aka wayyy too many commas). I just hope you guys enjoyed the risk that I took, and appreciated the messages I communicated. It's hard for me to share my writing with others, so thank you for taking the time to listen. take care :)

how does the match work? i applied but i’m a bit confused by the process
In simple terms, the Finalists get to rank up to 12 schools to match to (in order of preference). The highest ranked school that chooses to accept you will be where you are matched. And most matches are binding (the only exception being if you match with MIT). If you don’t match, you are placed into the regular decision pool for the QB schools, so the application process doesn’t just end there. Hopefully this helps!!
So are most of the schools binding even if you apply during regular decision?

It would be cool if you started a consulting side job. Like if you read other people's Questbridge essays for $40 or you edited their common app for $90 base that could be cool for like a brainstorm session and then an edit.
Hi! I was wondering how you were able to apply to other colleges even though you did Questbride College Match, are you able to apply to other college regular decision? Or is this because Stanford is one of the only non-binding Questbrige college partners? Thank you!

I applied for QB this year and was a bit confused about their early application policy. Did you EA to any schools while applying to QB? I'm applying to some out-of-state schools that require me to submit my application by the EA deadline to be considered for scholarships. Would applying EA to them be going against QB policy?
Thanks for the question! I personally didn’t apply EA to any schools. It’ll be tricky if you get in to all, but QB says it’s fine (they have explicit exceptions to the policy, consideration for scholarships being one).

If you apply regular, do you lose the questbridge scholarship or no? I saw something saying that on the website.
I’m living for these great questions!! It is true that the 4-year full-ride isn’t guaranteed for regular decision applicants. But, I will say that the scholarships from qb partners are usually generous AND there is always, ALWAYS the option to appeal a Financial Aid award.

how long did it take you to write your questbridge essays? And can you add EC's/jobs that you are planning to do after september?
It took me about a week to finish the essays. And you can TOTALLY add stuff you’ll be doing later on in your senior year or before college in general

Thank you so much for sharing this! Your video has really helped me with how to work on my own short answers and essays. My personal favorite was your response to the favorite book/movie short answer.
The application really just hasn’t changed. I really love ur vids btw they’re so funny and you actually go into depth about what you’d change instead just saying “I didn’t like that” or “that was cringe”. I very much appreciated that:) And to answer your questions: essay 1/2 haven’t changed and I really loved the Mother Teresa one. I’m Christian and I’m very proud of it but I feel like it’s almost discouraged to write an essay relating to it so that one really inspired me!

Did you apply to QB with regular decision? I want to apply to Cornell, but its no a college listed in the application. If I apply through reg decision will it effect my chances of being a finalist and matching with a college?
I know this is late, but for anyone now, QB is all early decision, Cornell is not a college partner. If you applied to Cornell reg dec, it wouldn't effect your QB application at all, but if you get matched you have to go that matched school if it's binding

Hello, my friend just told me about this program however I never knew about the April Scholars program and I didn’t apply. Would that make it harder for me to make it as a Finalist in the National College Match program since I didnt apply as a Scholar?
Not being a College Prep Scholar shouldn’t make it harder to become a finalist for the National College Match. They won’t hold that against you. Hope that’s helps ease your mind a little. Thanks for the question :)
