I know this video is already a year old but still will say it most of those guys need mud tires not trail ride tiers
@@Leo-yr5gp part of the reason I bought the XMR was because of how often we ran this trail and others like it, funny thing is I think I’ve only run it once since this ride lol. It would be nice to have a set of trail and a set of mud tires on separate wheels to pick and choose depending where we’re riding. Unfortunately I can’t afford another set right now. Life goals lol 🍻
Just my thoughts on the barriers. As someone who's driveway crosses the old railbed and have to drive across it with my truck everyday I am grateful for the barriers. It forced the machines to slow down. I have had many close calls with machines. That section of the railbed in Hebbville is basically a residential area with actually more foot and bicycle then UTV. The old railbed here in NS, especially in the more urban areas is only used as a connection to reach the fun trails. I walk my railbed regularly as well as ride it with my SxS. That being said I do believe that the barriers are too tight and should be widened for the safety of all users but removing them will not force people to slow down when crossing driveways and lanes with 5 or 6 homes on it. As it was stated in the video it was one of the smoothest trail ever. That type of trail is usually followed with speed. Sorry to get on my soapbox Mike. Great video and content as always. It does highlight the need to get those barriers widened out, but not too wide to jeopardize the safety of other users.
a "mission" to find a rock? seems like a massive waste of time and resources to me, this day and age. its already found, as has been pointed out in the comments. It means nothing. Completely unproductive if you ask me.

Don't you just love the squeaking? I have to spray my Heim joints after every ride otherwise mine sounds so bad 😂
I’m a little slack with my maintenance, I’ve never sprayed them only greased the few fittings the machine has. I’ll look into this spray you speak of lol any recommendations? Thanks.
@@ScotianOff-Road yah same haha. Go to Crappy Tire and grab a can of " 3-in-One Professional Water-Resistant Silicone Lubricant " - works wonders on quitting down Heim joints especially and other moving parts.
The barriers do nothing but appease the anti-atv walkers. Modern SXS's are basically cars for the woods. Just remove the damn things.
My buddy has little to no problems in the woods with his 72” XRS but can’t ride the railbed
@@ScotianOff-Road Yeah i got a buddy riding a Polaris Turbo S with raceline beadlocks sitting at 74". He puts that anywhere i can fit my 64" After driving newfoundland for 14 days running blacktop to blacktop to get to trails, gas, food and campgrounds, I find it even more idiotic how far behind we are here in NS.

I don’t have a lot of spare time myself but I’m trying to help out when I can. If we all just take 1 or 2 days off from riding and go volunteer it will make the trails a better place for us all. There’s lots of things we can do. If you see some garbage pick it up, if there’s a tree in the road, move it if you can. Thanks, the trail association needs alot of help in my area. It’s basically the same 5 or 6 volunteers doing most of the labour work, and I believe they are all 60+ years old. Did you get permission to drive through the land owners property? Just asking because as a farmer there's nothing worse than people on bikes thinking they can drive wherever they want.
@@Tylos21 crown land as far as I’m aware. If you know better please by all means let me know and I’ll be sure to check with them. I think it’s ok tho since this is a well known trail that lots of people visit every year. There’s an obvious trail with only a wind fall blocking the path which we cleared. I don’t see any no trespassing signs. Do you know the land owner? Thanks for you concern. I ain’t trying to ride in anyone’s property if they don’t want me there. I would assume there would be a gate or a rope or a chain and a do not enter no trespassing private property sign. Nothing! 🍻

@@troygillis3499 stickerhut.ca/ First time i dealt with him was awesome quick replies and quick turnaround on product. I contacted him again a couple months ago for new stickers to be made up. Quick initial reply then nothing. Emailed him a couple times nothing. I can’t remember the price I do remember I got buy 100 get 100 free. I think it was around $40 I gotta hit him up again.

Very interesting stuff. The other one is the size of a small house and sitting on the edge of a swamp with no other rock near by

I’d like to race but I don’t have proper tires really, my machine is governed at 105km/h I need to get harnesses installed and I’m a horrible mechanic when something goes wrong and can’t afford to fix it lmao basically I’d need some good sponsors to make it happen. @@daynalynds8719 I actually raced my talon in the utv class in Liverpool a few years ago. It was really fun got my adrenaline pumping. I’ve never officially raced before lol I went the wrong way 3 out of 4 runs in the slaloms at the 2 events I went to lol If I was to do it again I’d probably be smart to get a navigator..
@@daynalynds8719 typically I just go to Clyde River and Liverpool events as I live in shelburne and it starts to get too far away and time consuming and costly when I should be working on my house lol. But hey if the videos were to take off and get lots of views it could eventually pay for me to go. I’m almost monetized. Hopefully one day I’ll have a drone and a better camera for filming at distance, if RUclips ever starts to give back lol Thanks for watching 🍻
