I was lucky to participate in the last Titan`s falling battle. I sold all my ships to buy something capable of entering the cloud and fighting. On a poorly engineered Python Mk2, with no money for rebuying anything except Sidewinder in the case of defeating, suffering from a glitching joystick, well it was quite a time. :)) Thanks for the movie!

It was a epic fight back by human forces, from the liberation of Luhman 16 by the Earth Defence fleet living upto its name, to the Hutton Orbital truckers because , without a hutton orbital theres no where to truck to. All expertly led and marshalled by the Anti-Xeno alliance , and we defended Earth, not because we were ordered to, or we were sent to, but because we all volunteered to , full knowing the risks, and more than a few fell to the relentless assault of the thargoids.Those of us who survived will honour their memory and sacrifice. And let the remains of every titan be a warning to the thargoids never to come here again. (On a personal note... if you missed flying into a sea of red triple A while trying to target the heat vent... you dont know what you missed ... thanks Fdev)

The last battle is calls for you

As a sci-fi writer and lover of Scott Buckley's music, this vid caught my attention. There's something deeply romantic (in the nerdiest sense possible) about skimming across an alien world in the comfort of your flight deck (sporting glasses no less!) and seeing vistas no human has seen before. More than anything, this one vid convinced me to grab a copy of Elite: Dangerous and today I finally tried it out. I'm looking forward to the adventures it offers and the ideas it sparks for my next book series. Thank you very much for this inspiring montage.

Your first attempt was...awkward. I notice this time you stopped using the first person perspective and started getting creative with cinematic moving shots and framing. Wonderful job.

If only

Many people criticize the game for having all planets and moons look pretty much alike, there not being much variety, and everything being just barren landscapes (no lush jungles etc), and how when you have seen a dozen planets you have seen them all. However, I think that somewhat ironically that's what makes ED actually better in that way: When once in a blue moon you encounter an awesome combination of procedurally generated planets, terrain, atmosphere and lighting, producing some extremely awesome visuals, it makes it all so much more special. If every single planet was like that, actually _that_ would make it less enticing. Because the awesome shots are so rare, they become that much more special and unique. A gem is not valuable because it's so common. A gem is valuable precisely because it's so rare. So, perhaps serendipitously, and ironically, the "lack of diversity" in procedural generation of planets and terrains is actually what makes the game so good. It makes those rare awesome shots all the more special.

Elite is one of a kind experience... The same as i hate it for its emptines... the same i love it for showing us how small we are... and just because of that, being alone in that enormous world makes sense

*_That_* is how you do exploration! _You_ always should be the first to step in a new world. Not in the way Starfield does: with each and every world showing signs of human presence.

Elite needs TAA for graphics options icluding FSR2/3. For exploration there should be a lot more to explore in that wast galaxy. They need to make at least 10x more asteroid formation variations - actually is there any excfept gas giants? Like asteroid fields? They should be more. Real giantic asteroids where you can fly around and do some stuff or at least be impressed. Animation for jumping from system to system should be improved to make more seamless. Textures sometimes jumping for the star texture animations this breaks immersion. Ranking up military ranks should be by doing difficult speciffic missions (like campaign) instead of grinding millions of any random missions.

Almost 10 years of people been exploring in Elite and yet people are still finding something new. and yet the community still can not see how beautiful Elite world really is. Be careful as once you start you can loose your life. Took me almost 6months to fly to beagle point and back. Keep up the great work this can bring back that itch to go exploring once again and what better way than to do it in the new mandalay.

Can't wait to grab my Mandalay and disappear again...I'm only about 3.5 million LY in, what's a few more?
