music in 99% of time is on... autumn came, leafs slowly falling from the trees... music choice is more chill, somber...
Love that! We don't get a real "autumn" here, it's just like summer Jr. Lots of evergreens. But love the vibe!
@@itsmissy_xo honestly I would switch for californian weather... climate changed a lot so it's much much warmer than it suppose to be and leather jacket, 20 C (68F) is nice. I just hope it won't rain because then it's super cold
@@theslowdeathoftheuniverse California weather definitely can't be beat... and it doesn't rain here too often! The weather overall is pretty mild, especially closer to the coast. The lowest recorded temperature ever where I live is 22F (-5C)
@@itsmissy_xo lowest recorded where I live was -25.6F, overall it's warmer place than rest of the country so average winter temp is 22F
Cool seeing a dolphin while riding. As a Dutchmen I will not see that happen here, lol. As for music on the bike when I do listen, I listen to genres going from hardcore, hardstyle, trance, techno, house, reggeaton, rock, metal etc. Pretty much anything.
I really take for granted being able to ride on the coast sometimes 😅 That's awesome! I listen to a bunch of different genres too, but I haven't listened to hardcore or techno music in quite a while! Certain times of the year I even go into a Classical music phase, ha!
"I don't listen to music to keep focused on riding"...then.."ohh a Dolphin" "oh a dog" 😂😂 Personally, I love riding with music and my Pandora has just about any kind of music. Except Techno 😂
Shhhh 😂 I'm similar, I go through phases so I listen to almost any type of music (and I definitely had a techno phase bahah)
i was gonna comment reg your audio its so clear .... can you do a video of your complete set up? thank you so much
Thank you! Nick is a lifesaver! I'd be happy to do a setup video soon, thanks for the suggestion!

Music helps my ADHD have something to do while I am concentrating on riding. I try not to keep it too loud so I can hear if someone honks or something. I use a RUclips Music playlist which I can download to my phone. I have a lot of songs in My Music playlist (currently 143). Last year, I flew to Hong Kong from TN via SF (20 hours), then got off the plane and took a 4 hour ride on a high speed train to Changsha on the mainland and I still had a few songs left to play. I have many different kinds of music in it and there are a couple of whole concerts. I have since cleaned it up a bit, but I am always finding more songs. I have it set to public regular youtube.
Nice! What kind of music do you listen to? I usually listen to Spotify, and recently downloaded a whole playlist so I could listen to it on my 6 hour plane ride last weekend.
@@itsmissy_xo Its difficult to put specifics in youtube comments because it will delete the comment before you see it if I openly direct you to it, but if you read the previous comment carefully, you will get to that actual playlist. It is such a wide variety of music that I would hesitate to classify it, but I would say that without me purposely doing it, it is mostly female singers, quite a lot of different asian or international artists, much of it is not in english (useful for motorcycle riding) but the actual music runs the gamut from deep blues to pop to kpop to country, it is the list of a crazy person. lol My current addiction is Teddy Swims.
@@ariesmarsexpress I like the idea of listening to music in another language! That way you focus less on the words. Kudos!
Between the "I stalled" thumbnail an the dolphin title, i somehow read it as "I installed a dolphin on my motorcycle. I can do music, but audio books are dangerous. I cant emagine-ate an drive at the same time.
bahaha! I can totally see that! I used to listen to audiobooks in my car but I do find they require so much more focus and attention, otherwise its just words in my ears.
sorry but you’ve gotta give it more gas
It was my first time on this bike and first time with a 2-stroke. I've ridden it several times now no problem lol. Thanks though.
I use some cheap earplugs that I get at a local sporting goods store. They’re made for shooting, but they work great when I ride. And they’re cheap enough that I don’t feel bad when I lose them/wash/have the puppy steal them.
I got in a bycicle today for the first time after a few years, i'll get some experience on it before getting a motorcycle.
what kind of motorcycle do you have?
It's a Honda Rebel 500
Everyone here knows how RUclips works. Adds. Sponsors and who cares what order you put videos together in. Upward and onward! 👍👍 I hope you achieve everything you want out of your channel
Thank you for your comment!
Wearing all black in the summer isn't fun either. I bought an Eclipse 2 jacket from Rev'it in Silver. It made a huge difference.
Good to know! I don't have any room in my closet for more gear but maybe next year I'll upgrade!
OHV park near me has MX tracks, but it also has easy OHV trails and beginner areas where you can just practice riding. In fact this is where I plan on taking my first real bike (a dual sport) to learn riding first. And I hear you on high temps. I am in FL, and it gets so hot here too.
I learned on a dirt bike. But learned stupid squid stuff. Like sand and kick stand pivots. Different ways to lift a bike in nasty terrain.
@@eliinthewolverinestate6729 I rode mountain bikes all my life, I'm in my 40s now. So I think the squid stuff is out of my system hopefully. I don't even plan on getting a street bike. No desire for going fast. Just want a bike for exploring, and I'm tired of pedaling all the time :)
The OHV area near me has so many different trails (you'll see!!) but I'm just restricted to when I can ride since my bike is a 2-stroke and doesn't meet California emissions.... 🙄
@@itsmissy_xo gotcha. And cool, can't wait to see that 2stroke bike in action!
The latest trend over the past 6 months has been for youtubers to plug their sponsors directly during their vlogs....I for one will not be offended as this trend has become widespread.
Appreciate the comment, thanks for watching!
I currently ride with a day hiking pack, over my Tumi due to water bag, and that's great for hiking but considering going for the Kriega r25. Anything on your back should be designed to keep weight equally distributed, so a little worried I am not getting much for something motorcycle specific other than reflective parts, which I can add aftermarket. Do you ride with a water bag? Does your backpack distribute weight nicely, and how many Liters does it carry(first aid kit, change of clothes, snacks, water, and tools)?
The RiderBag is 35L but doesn't feel huge. I don't ride with a waterbag on my Rebel but I do on my dirtbike. On the rebel I just carry a full thermoflask of water :)
@@itsmissy_xo Awesome! Thank you!
Great ride along and chat! Wishing you the very best with your channel and going forward with it....stay free...🤟😎
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed :)
Love that rebel! Keep the videos coming!
Thanks for the comments and thanks for watching!
Yup riding here in AZ above 105 gets unbearable after 30 minutes, basically only night riding for the last few months. Got a cold front this week with highs in the low 90s and it feels so nice.
I don't like riding at night, 9/10 motorcycle accidents in my area are at night... some the car's fault, some the MC's fault, some solo... but I'll pass LOL
@@itsmissy_xo completely fair, stay safe out there
90⁰f is my limit in the city. 95⁰f in the country where I don't have to sit at lights. Stopped for gas about kills me though. An i wear high-viz an silver gear. Can't do black gear in the heat at my age.
I'll add more gear when my closet isn't full LOL for now, I live in black (both on and off the bike!)
If you end up liking the 2-stroke. the Beta 300 xtrainer has lots of lowering kits available for them and is lower to the ground by default. Something to consider when you're ready for a bigger engine but lower to the ground than an MX bike.
Good to know! I'm not as familiar with the Betas but I'll consider it when the time comes haha!
@@itsmissy_xo Lots of vidoes on them if you're curious. I have a 2024 xtrainer I've upgraded it rode it, love it. The lower height is very nice I was coming off an old MX bike that was super tall and it's very nice and it could get even shorter for those who need it.
@@soldierforeggs Well CA passed a law a few years ago so that same bike here in California couldn't be ridden on public land, only on private property. If it doesn't meet emission standards, it can't be on any public land. It's really stupid! I'd have to buy an older one.
@@itsmissy_xo Right... that's stupid... but older isn't always bad can mean more aftermarket parts. I hope you enjoy getting into dirt bikes it's hands down my favorite thing.
@@soldierforeggs Yea I mean I've never bought anything brand new new so it's not a big deal lol. Thanks! I've missed it so much, which is ironic cause I've only been without a dirtbike for 6 months! lol
Hey Missy! I started on a dirt bike too, well I rode 4 wheelers when I was little but my first thing with 2 wheels was a dirt bike:) A Honda XR 200R (four stroke), she was cool but honestly wicked hard for me to kickstart. I sold her a while ago and I sometimes regret it, I think I'd be more comfortable with the kickstarter now. Anyway, have a blast on your new bike!!
Hey Bugzy, thanks for stopping by! My old Honda was a pain in the butt to kickstart when the engine was hot (like if I crashed and stalled and had to get it going again lol) but so far my new bike can be kickstarted BY HAND! 😯Crazy lol. You should definitely try it again!
Nice!! 👍👍 States love their stickers.. Washington also likes their passes
Relieving to hear CA isn't alone haha. Does WA also have restrictions for their 2 strokes?
@@itsmissy_xo No! lets not give them any ideas! :)
Where is this?
Great video 👍🏻 Congrats on a new bike. Waiting to see more videos with your new dirt bike. I have not ridden one before, so it will be interesting to see.
Thank you for watching! Can't wait to show you all videos of me riding it!
I love the light weight of a 2 stroke bike. But I love the torque of a 4 stroke.
This bike is the same curb weight as my old bike but definitely has way more power lol. Can't wait to ride it!!
I like it! I started on a dirt bike as well.
Nice! What did you ride?
@itsmissy_xo I had a Yamaha 180 RT, it's been a few years.
Enjoy the bike and congrats!
Thank you! Excited to go rip on it and share more content!
Good news on all the spare parts. Looking forward to some wrenching / maintenance videos in the future.
Thanks for the comment! Most of the spare parts were tubes, but there are a few other really awesome items (OEM rear brake, chain slider, a bunch of new spark plugs, and a bunch of extra gaskets). Definitely can't wait to wrench on this thing too! Thanks for watching!
Excellent! Dirt bikes are the most fun! Enjoy!
Absolutely! And hey, now you get to see a video of my riding a KTM after all lol :)
@@itsmissy_xo I like it, when in doubt, throttle out! lol
Glad i don't have to deal with those rules.
I'm jealous, for sure! Can't wait to go ride this thing.
Awesome that you started something new! There are a bunch of great RUclips videos on how to ride with glasses. It is more comfortable to ride with glasses. You don’t want debris falling into your eyes.
So proud of you that you’re practicing.
Don’t ride beyond your means
Boo. Like the old style better. Way more visible and way more functional. On a motorcycle, safety is paramount, not trying to look pretty. But if vanity is your thing, by all means, snazzy your bike up.
where is your windshield?
Lol I took it off weeks ago. I hated the amount of wind buffeting i was getting behind the windshield
Nice lane splitting 👍 dig that camera angle.
Thank you!
Get a super moto!
Unfortunately in California any bike built for off-highway use can't be converted into a SuMo unless it's specifically a dual sport bike... 🙃🙃 But, I was looking at dual sports like an XR150 or TW200 but they wouldn't be fun on the street or on the dirt with their lower CC and crappy suspension lol I need to keep up with my fiance on his KTM 500 EXC-F!
@@itsmissy_xo but what if it's a super moto from the factory like a klx300sm or drz400sm.
@@ep6606 I'm not really a Kawi or Suzuki fan lol but those are full size bikes anyway and I'm too short for them unless I lower them, which I don't want to do
@itsmissy_xo OK, a dirt bike it is
I'm sure you know all this cause I think the CRF100 had same options but you can get the YZ-RM and SX 85s in large wheels or standard sizes.. 17"/19" front and 14"/16" rear. You probably had 19"/16" on your CRF? it would be a bummer if you find one you want to buy, just to find out it has the smaller wheels on it.. My nephew races a 2023 YZ85 that thing hauls ass! I get on it and I'm like😮 Whoa! You will have a ton of fun on whatever brand you get👍👍
Yes! The CRF100 came as a 19/16, but it had a low ground clearance so the seat height was only about 30". The small wheel SX85 and YZ85 both have larger ground clearances so even the small wheel 17/14 has a seat height of 33". A big wheel in those bikes would be almost the same height as a full sized bike (35") and I'm just too short for that unless I lower them (which I'm hoping to avoid!) I've been doing a LOT of research on them haha and I definitely wanted a big wheel until I found out they're so tall! Being short isn't all it's cracked up to be LOL
Yeah that wind is not fun to ride in. Especially when you’re going for miles. I like watching your videos.
Agreed!! Thank you for your comment!
Desert season?! That sounds like fun! I’ve always wanted to ride a dirt bike…maybe some day👀 it’s the “getting the dirt bike to places that you can ride it” that seems like the hard part for me lol. Love the “OOOoooO this is noiiice” I say that all the time 😂
Haha! Yea logistics can be a problem. Or you can get a dual sport and go both on the dirt and the street! (that's what my fiance has) but most dual sports are too tall for me :(
@@itsmissy_xo yeah that would be fun too! They are always so tall though😭 have you seen motoikandi? She has short girl riding tips, but it definitely does not look easy lol
@@gaabbiio Oh I haven't seen her, I'll have to check her out! Looks similar to the tips Doodle on a Motorcycle shares :) I've tried to sit on my fiance's full-size dirt bike, and even with the "short girl tips" I'm quite literally too short LOL unless I start/stop standing off the bike (which hey.. I may practice)
Does it work if yes no problem
Chill vlog, nice sceneries.
Thank you!
Ooooofff nice lane splitting 😮
Technically just filtering, I haven't moved up to splitting yet lol but thank you!
@@itsmissy_xo oh hang on... wot exactly is lane splitting then ... You looked Awsome filtering, think it will be a While before I have th confidence
@@nikisaunders2634 its ok haha a lot of people get it mixed up. splitting is when you're moving between cars that are also moving. filtering is when you're moving between stopped cars. :) Both are legal here in California, but right now I'm only comfortable filtering. You'll get there!
@@itsmissy_xo aw yeah I get it now ... well happy filtering , I'll let you know when iv achieved either of the two 😆
Always enjoy your videos. You can buy a nylon mesh laundry bag and wash your gear in that. Remove armor, turn jacket inside out and wash on gentle cycle. I've had good success with that method. I like the Rebel 500, looks good in yellow.
@@ac2-rm141 thank you for the comment and the tip! I’ll have to try that out next time I need to wash it.
I'm still not clear what "desert season" means. Can't you ride in the desert year round?
@@999fedora where I live, it is wayyyyy too hot to ride in the desert in the summer. Like 120 degrees lol. Plus some desert vehicles are restricted to certain times of year. The end of October to May is prime weather for the desert.
Ouch! Too hot for me. Its 90 F here for the last couple of days and I just stay home. Cheers!
Bees like yellow.
🐝🐝🐝
@@itsmissy_xo Actually, with your helmet, black jacket, and yellow bike, the bees probably think you're one of them.
@@HAMILTONPROVIDEO bahah! Yea, maybe!!
I just had to replace my windshield because I was getting constantly slammed with wind buffeting. The windshield that came with my bike was a windshield in name only. I got a Puig windshield and it's a totally different experience. They actually test them in wind tunnels. I don't know how you ride without one. Things will pop up off the road and hit you.
@@ariesmarsexpress I get crazy wind buffeting with my Puig, which is the main reason I took it off. It maybe wouldn’t be so bad if I got the smaller windshield but ohhh wellll :) lol
@@itsmissy_xo Time for a new bike. lol
@@ariesmarsexpress 😂😂 modern problems require modern solutions
I removed the wind shield on my Vstrom 650 because of severe head buffeting. It worked! No buffeting and no more wind howling sound!
Ha interesting comments. I do hear wind howling sounds, but wasn't sure if it was actually my windshield. Cause I feel like it's hitting me on the chest instead of the head/or helmet.
You can never have too many bikes! I have 3 in my garage and still find myself shopping for another, always looking for the perfect one.
