Using words like Tolerant and inclusive as qualifiers for Jesus will only confuse people. Changing the focus to where it should be brings people the truth. The focus should be that Jesus accepts the sinner and not the sin. God does not affirm (support) any sinful lifestyle. BUT.. he won't reject a sinner if they truly come to him for help. You don't need to clean yourself up before you come to God, he will do it for you IF your willing.

When you speak of inclusivity I think you mean including sin, that's not Jesus!

If the circle must continue to expand, which people groups need to be included next? And after that? And then, after that? Do we make up more categories of people so we can faithfully continue to "widen the circle?" The promise of salvation to all people, whether in the OT or NT, was about one category: nation/ethnicity. This is plain and final; to pretend otherwise is irresponsible.

As a studying follower of Jesus; I love lgbtq+ people I love all people. Do not be deceived, sin separates us from god and hinders our prayers. There are things we all wrestle with. And thanks to Jesus we can have a relationship with the father. Don’t lie to the people, the Bible tells us what sin is. It’s not your job to judge or condemn but we need to tell the TRUTH. I believe this pastor has been deceived. I pray that he changes his teaching.

Depends on how conservative you are with your religion and what religion. But generally yes they are, its very hard to reconcile the two without taking away from one or both.

Listen...Either you believe the Bible or not ? Is it True or No ? I see it this way...the Bible is a map, a guide book, God's Written Word to mankind. One cannot change His Truth or should I say, "One cannot and should not try to change God's Truth, to fit their own narrative." You are adding and taking away from God's Word. There should be no disconnect between Mind, Body and Spirit as they aren't different things. They are simply three different perspectives, three different views of the same thing.

I do find it important to study context and apply rightly God's word in my life, that it may shine through to others, so that they may also see the goodness of God. Thank you for the video, explaining your position on this topic. I agree that much of Leviticus contains laws written to Israel and how God wanted them to be separate from the pagans around them and be a holy people unto Him. Having said that, Leviticus 18:22 is not the only scripture on the topic of homosexuality. Romans 1:26-28 and 1st Corinthians 6:9 do speak on the topic of homosexuality in the negative. Even Jesus, who doesn't mention homosexuality directly, describes marriage as a covenant between a man and a woman (Matthew 19:4,5). That being said, as our Lord Jesus has given us the commandment to preach the Gospel, to love God and our neighbor as ourselves, to believe on His name and love our brethern, we must be preachers of righteousness. At the same time, ready and willing to minister to the lost, so that they too can come to the knowledge of Christ. I see it as a disservice to the lost and also to Christians struggling with this particular sin, to blur a line so clearly drawn in scripture. We obey not to be saved, but out of gratitude to Him. The way we're born is in sin, but we're born again in Christ. He gives us a new heart, takes away our stoney heart and gives us a heart of flesh. He puts His spirit within us and causes us to walk after His statues and to keep His judgements and do them. As we we're given the choice to follow Christ, we we're given truth, and it's the truth in Christ we choose to follow and the truth we must preach. Homosexuality is called an abomination to God. Yet, so is lying. Lying lips are an abomination to God and lying lips will not enter into the Kingdom. It's mentioned three times in the last two chapters of Revelation. So i certainly wouldn't exclude anyone from the Gospel. Any true minister should be ready to help those of any community, so that they may know Jesus as we know Him.

You just described everyone. The one known as Jesus of Nazareth was known as “the Christ.” Christ is a consciousness. If you actually look beneath the control system the Roman Catholic Church set in place, you can see that Jesus taught that everyone is god. I am god. You are god. A blade of grass is god. A rock is god. God is source. God is not an old man in the clouds with a long flowing beard in long flowing robes who sacrificed himself to himself to pay for the sins that he created. Every thing in existence is a small piece of source. We are all one underneath. God is light. God is love. God is source. God is not religion.

I've missed coming to The Well for the past two Sundays, but I've really appreciated listening to the recordings of Sadie's message from last week and Danny's from this morning. I needed to hear those messages. The topic of surrender keeps hitting me in the face, but I have such resistance to accepting what that means. God couldn't be more clear than if They hit me over the head. Yet, I continue to struggle with the willingness.
