I will clarify that Aespa is my favorite group before talk, but for me in all subjectivity, yes this year is the year of Aespa BUT their first year were already Aespa's year, winning all the Rookie of the Year awards and being a huge phenomenon with Next Level and Savage and the excellent Savage album AND they should have been the group of last year because when you think about it My world with Spicy as the title track, the incredible single Better things and then just Drama, just an anthem no less. Aespa 2023 was something too the only year that wouldn't be theirs is 2022 with Girls but already this music has been very unfairly shunned, it is fantastic but in any case, even if Girls would have received the reception she deserves, it is one project, only 4 music so a small project, it's not like 2023 and 2024 where they were present all the year with several titles tracks In conclusion, Aespa is the best kpop group since 2021

I love and respect (G)I-DLE, they are legendary too, but AESPA deserved all the awards 100%. They are truly ahead of all.

Karina is the leader of the group Winter has an unofficial second role, shall we say In interviews she talks the most with Karina, I also know she has a leadership role in the dance where she will help Ningning and Giselle if needed and then Karina once said that Winter would make a perfect leader if she herself wasn't one already. Plus she's Korean like Karina which also helps So it's not shocking but Karina is definitely the leader

I know they are not cry babies. But for some reason I was hoping that they would at least shed a tear for the “Artist of the Year” award as it is every idol’s dream. I don't know but their speech felt underwhelming and idk, it gives a lack of appreciation vibes?? And I know that they deserve it but it felt like they were 100% expecting it that it did not trigger any deep emotions. Or maybe I’m just not used to their reaction. I just hope that their current fame will not get into their heads and will always be humble and appreciative for all the love and support they receive.
