Drill hanger holder

The worm holes in this wood made it not good for use as a cutting board. I saved the wood rather than scrapping it. Then the need for a tool holder came up and I recycled the wood into a drill holder.

Purple Martin Bird House Project

During the summer I researched building a Martin Bird House. It was not my first bird house put it was the first one I have designed for a Purple Martin. The dimensions for the chamber for the inside of the house are 9 wide 8 tall and 12 inches deep. The cleanup insert or box is about 1/4 inch narrower than each chamber. As you can see I used the half circle design to help prevent predators fro...
Keep the frost or freeze off your veggies.
Просмотров 621 час назад
During cold snaps if you can keep your veggie covered with an insulated blanket and one or two or more jugs filled with water it will keep them from the frost or freeze. The water adds a thermo mass to provide some heat in the cold. If it is down below freezing you can use warm water to add a little extra heat, but not to hot or you can cook the plants. Remember to uncover when it gets warm eno...

Glue roller for cutting boards

This is the best way I have found so far, to apply the glue to all the board pieces in my cutting boards. I simply seal it us when I am done and is okay to use again and again. The cost is a little over $3.00.
Cutting Boards without a Track Saw
Просмотров 833 месяца назад
I do not have a track saw and occasionally I need to make s smooth cut over a long distance on a board. I will use my straight lumber and two clamps to make a guide for my skill saw. The distance from the edge of my saw blade to the edge of the guide is 5 inches, that is why I made the line at the five inch mark.

I know this video is 2 years old by now, but I just watched it. The Parker website says: "Please note the couplings on these fittings are only intended for use on hoses that have not previously been in service." I wonder how you feel about that precautionary statement. The hoses on my motor home are at least 8 years old, so I am concerned that the hose might fail at the fitting due to its age. The hose in question is 20 feet long, so I would much rather cut out the section with the leak and repair it, rather than replace it. Thanks for a great video.

If someone still watching this video, you need Lithium based mineral NLGI1 grease for the bearings. Do not use EP grease, it has Sulphur as additive and wears faster the bearings and the wipers. For the rails use VG68 mineral oil for linear rails. Don't use silicone oil, it's incompatible with the mineral grease you injecting in the bearings.
