I was brought to the US in the early 90s when I was 5 and not knowing a word of English I can remember going to school and feeling confused and some what scared not being able to communicate or understand anyone but I also remember every now and then they’d play Mr rogers for us and I definitely remember zoning out watching the show and almost feeling comforted by how he spoke and how it did feel like he was speaking directly to me
