    Great video this is my version If "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff returned to the WWF in 1990 with the trajectory you've outlined, it could lead to an intriguing and dynamic alternate timeline in wrestling history. Here's how it might play out: --- ### **1990**: The Return and Immediate Impact Orndorff makes his return at *WrestleMania VI*, interrupting a major segment or match to immediately establish his presence. Positioned as a heel, he quickly feuds with top stars like Hulk Hogan, the Ultimate Warrior, and Randy Savage. - **IC Title Chase**: By late 1990, Orndorff captures his **first Intercontinental Championship**, showcasing his technical prowess against competitors like Mr. Perfect and Bret Hart. --- ### **1991-1992**: Tag Team Dominance Orndorff forms an alliance with **Bob Backlund** in mid-1991. Their team, blending Orndorff's brash charisma and Backlund's technical skill, quickly becomes a fan favorite. - **Tag Title Reigns**: Orndorff wins **four Tag Team Championships** during this period, including a standout reign with Backlund. Their matches against teams like the Legion of Doom, Money Inc., and the Natural Disasters become instant classics. - **IC Title Runs**: Orndorff claims the Intercontinental Championship **two more times**, cementing his legacy as a top-tier mid-card champion while teasing main-event ambitions. --- ### **1993**: The WWE Championship In early 1993, Orndorff turns face during a feud with Yokozuna and aligns with Bob Backlund. This earns him the chance to headline *SummerSlam 1993*, where he defeats Yokozuna to become **WWE Champion**. - **WWE Title Reign**: Orndorff holds the title for a solid **7 months**, fending off challenges from Lex Luger, Bret Hart, and Razor Ramon. His reign emphasizes classic storytelling, with Orndorff portraying a veteran proving his worth against younger stars. --- ### **1994**: Dropping the Title to Backlund At *Survivor Series 1994*, Orndorff drops the WWE Championship to Bob Backlund in a shocking heel turn by Backlund. This brief 120-day run for Backlund is a callback to his earlier dominance in the late 70s and early 80s. Orndorff transitions back to the mid-card, beginning a series of grudge matches against Backlund. --- ### **1995**: Farewell Tour and Final Championship Orndorff wins his **fourth Tag Team Championship** in early 1995, teaming with a rising star (e.g., Shawn Michaels or Diesel) to pass the torch. His final IC Title reign cements him as one of the most decorated stars of the era. Orndorff retires in late 1995 after a storyline injury but remains a legend. --- ### **Legacy** - **Grand Slam Champion**: Orndorff’s accomplishments include **1 WWE Championship**, **3 Intercontinental Championships**, and **4 Tag Team Championships**. - **Hall of Fame Induction**: Inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in the late 90s, celebrated for his technical brilliance and versatility. This alternate timeline would enhance Orndorff's already-impressive career, positioning him as one of WWF’s most respected and accomplished performers of the 90s.

    Here’s a detailed timeline of **Bob Backlund’s more successful 1992-1996 run**, focusing on his title wins, key feuds, and influence on the WWF: ### **1992: Reinvention and Championships** - **January 1992:** After a brief hiatus from WWF, Bob Backlund makes a surprise return to the company during the **Royal Rumble**. This time, he’s positioned as a respected veteran but with a more aggressive, intense attitude, emphasizing his technical wrestling roots. He enters the Royal Rumble match, lasting nearly 50 minutes before being eliminated by Hulk Hogan, who makes a return to challenge Sid Justice for the WWF Championship. - **February 1992:** Backlund wins the **WWF Tag Team Championship** alongside the young and up-and-coming **Shawn Michaels**, providing a technical contrast to Michaels' high-flying style. Their feud with the **Money Inc. (Ted DiBiase & Irwin R. Schyster)** is highlighted with some classic back-and-forth matches. The team’s chemistry grows as they dominate the division. - **March 1992:** At **WrestleMania VIII**, Backlund and Michaels defend the tag titles against Money Inc. in a highly technical match that ends with Backlund pinning DiBiase for the victory. The win rejuvenates Backlund’s reputation and reestablishes him as a key player in the company. - **Summer 1992:** Backlund enters a feud with **Bret Hart**, marking the beginning of a long-standing rivalry. Bret, the reigning Intercontinental Champion, is positioned as a new technical standard-bearer for the company, and Backlund challenges him to a series of high-profile matches. The feud culminates in Backlund defeating Bret Hart at **SummerSlam** for the Intercontinental Championship in a 30-minute classic that’s hailed for its technical prowess. - **September 1992:** Bob Backlund, as the new Intercontinental Champion, successfully defends the title against **Shawn Michaels** in a rematch at **Survivor Series**, setting the stage for a huge rivalry between the two. Backlund’s more aggressive side begins to emerge, as he becomes more of a manipulative, hard-nosed champion. ### **1993: Dominance and Multiple Championships** - **January 1993:** Backlund enters the **Royal Rumble**, where he has a heated confrontation with **Razor Ramon**. The tension between the two builds as they both pursue the WWF Championship. - **February 1993:** Backlund successfully defends the Intercontinental Championship against Razor Ramon at **WrestleMania IX**, after a brutal match that sees both men pushed to their limits. Backlund retains, but Razor’s star continues to rise, and a future rivalry is hinted at. - **Summer 1993:** Backlund's tag team partnership with **Shawn Michaels** continues to thrive. They defend the tag titles successfully throughout the year, further establishing themselves as a dominant force. At **SummerSlam**, they retain the titles against the **Steiner Brothers**, in a hard-hitting and technically sound match that elevates both teams’ reputations. - **September 1993:** Backlund, now a double champion, successfully defends the Intercontinental Title against **Marty Jannetty**, ending the feud with a decisive victory. His reign establishes him as one of the top draws in the company. - **November 1993:** Backlund shocks the world by defeating **Yokozuna** in a major upset for the WWF Championship at **Survivor Series**. This victory elevates him to the top of the card, solidifying his place in the company as a legitimate main-event player. Backlund’s matches with Yokozuna are a mix of technical wrestling and power-based strategy, showing how the seasoned veteran could overcome younger and larger opponents. ### **1994: Building Backlund as a Main Eventer** - **January 1994:** Backlund enters the **Royal Rumble** and eliminates both **Diesel** and **Shawn Michaels**, which sets up a major feud with Diesel for the title. Backlund’s reign has made him a polarizing figure, with fans either loving his old-school style or booing his “outdated” persona. - **March 1994:** Backlund successfully defends the WWF Championship against Diesel at **WrestleMania X** in a highly technical match, aided by the interference of **Bret Hart** (who had his own issue with Diesel). Backlund’s reign continues, and he adds more title defenses against **Razor Ramon** and **Jeff Jarrett**, solidifying his legacy as a top performer. - **Summer 1994:** Backlund’s reign as WWF Champion is marked by a strong rivalry with **Shawn Michaels**. Michaels, now a heel, challenges Backlund for the title at **SummerSlam** in a brutal submission match, where Backlund retains. - **November 1994:** Backlund successfully defends the title in an ironman match against **Bret Hart** at **Survivor Series**, a match that’s widely praised for its technical execution. Backlund’s ability to go the distance with Bret solidifies his standing as a champion who can handle the new generation of wrestlers. ### **1995: A Transition Year** - **January 1995:** Backlund’s title reign faces its biggest challenge yet, as **Diesel** defeats him for the WWF Championship at the **Royal Rumble**. Backlund’s loss is hard-fought, and he soon enters a rivalry with Diesel, seeking to reclaim the championship he lost. - **March 1995:** Backlund, now in a more hardened and vicious mindset, takes part in the **WrestleMania XI** event, where he faces off against **Shawn Michaels** once again. This time, however, Michaels narrowly defeats Backlund, marking the official end of Backlund’s run as a top-tier WWF champion. - **Summer 1995:** Backlund wins his second Intercontinental Championship in a hard-fought tournament, defeating **Razor Ramon** in the finals. This reign reinvigorates his career, bringing him back into prominence. - **November 1995:** Backlund enters a final feud with **Shawn Michaels** and **Diesel**, teaming up with **Bret Hart** to take on the duo in a **Survivor Series** elimination match. Although Backlund and Hart are eventually defeated, the match is seen as a passing of the torch, with the younger stars continuing to build on the foundation Backlund helped lay. ### **1996: A Farewell and Legacy** - **January 1996:** Backlund participates in the **Royal Rumble**, where he eliminates **Goldust** before being eliminated by **Vader**, signaling his transition away from active competition. - **WrestleMania XII:** Backlund takes on a managerial role for **Owen Hart**, helping guide Owen to his first major singles championship win at **WrestleMania XII**. Backlund’s influence on the next generation of talent is clear as he mentors several up-and-comers. - **Summer 1996:** Backlund’s final match takes place at **SummerSlam**, where he teams with Bret Hart to face **The British Bulldog** and **Diesel** in a match that solidifies his legacy as a cornerstone of the WWF’s technical wrestling style. --- ### **Legacy of Backlund’s More Successful Run** This extended run of success would have positioned Bob Backlund as a lasting, influential figure in the transition between the old guard and the new generation of wrestling stars. It would have given him more recognition as a versatile wrestler capable of fitting into both the old-school wrestling environment and the rising new stars of the 90s. His increased success would also have bolstered his legacy as a transitional figure who helped shape the landscape of WWF during a pivotal period.

      My version what do you think?### Full Timeline: Bob Backlund’s More Successful 1992-1996 Run Here’s a detailed timeline imagining Bob Backlund’s increased success during this period, including three tag team championships, two Intercontinental titles, and an additional WWE Championship: --- ### *1992* - **Return to WWE (Summer)**: - Bob Backlund makes a triumphant return to WWE after nearly a decade, emphasizing his old-school values and technical wrestling skills. Fans are initially skeptical, but his clean-cut persona makes him a unique presence in the increasingly cartoonish WWE landscape. - **Feud with Ric Flair**: - Backlund begins feuding with Ric Flair, showcasing their technical prowess. Backlund challenges Flair for the WWE Championship on multiple occasions, including at **Survivor Series 1992**, though he falls short. --- ### *1993* - **Tag Team Championship Win #1 (Spring)**: - Backlund partners with *The British Bulldog* to defeat *Money Inc. (Ted DiBiase and IRS)* for the WWE Tag Team Championship. Their partnership highlights a blend of power (Bulldog) and technique (Backlund). They hold the titles for three months. - **King of the Ring 1993**: - Backlund participates in the tournament but loses in the semifinals to **Bret Hart**, setting up a respectful rivalry between the two. Yeah, basically. I remember Bobby Heenan saying "Whoever came up with the idea to beat Goldberg - that was bad. I would have had him go 3000-0. First of all, he's Jewish. Most of the people in marketing and television are Jewish, and they never had a champion. They would run with this guy and would love him." That was the premise of the whole video, but this probably wasn't what he meant.

      @@HostWithTheMost it just has to be a trophy like title instead of titles that should be defended. I remember NWA territories had titles like this, but there is a reason a title like this didn't work out in the long run.

    • @HostWithTheMost
      @HostWithTheMost 24 дня назад

      @@JokersVsZombies Yes, the territories did have a title like this and yes, the belts ultimately didn't work out in the long run and I realize it would be much harder to book titles like these consistently IRL (unless you're AEW, I guess), but this is my video, on my channel, and I made this video--and its upcoming sequel--my way.

      Japan has the KOD (King of DDT--or Dramatic Dream Team) 10 Man Tag Team Championship. From Wikipedia: "Recognizing the difficulty of scheduling matches for the title, DDT announced that as long as the captain of the reigning champions and two other members are present, title matches can be held with two replacement members taking the other two spots in the team. These replacement members would, however, not be recognized as official champions."

      @HostWithTheMost 25 дней назад

      Indeed--though, the ribbons on the images of the belts in this video are unfinished paint-wise. Up top, the curves in the ribbons are supposed to be black while the bottom ones' curves are supposed to be red, blue and black. Unfortunately, that was the case with a lot of the images I've seen of these belts, but some of them do have the complete design. Some people on Reddit, for instance, managed to finish it. Long story short: yes, the belts themselves are beautiful indeed; Reggie Parks isn't the greatest title belt designer of all time for nothing.
