Quilt Numbers 10 and 11 for 12in24 Backstory and Reveal
No how to here, just the story and the reveal. Whipped up a couple of disappearing 9 patch quilts for a family who lost all their belongings in Hurricane Milton's flooding.

Making Quilt Blocks to Donate
Просмотров 6521 день назад
I pushed everything aside to make some blocks for one of my favorite quilt charities. This group makes quilts for people who have lost everything in a fire. This quilt will be going to a seven year old girl. My blocks, along with 42 others made by about 10 other people will make a twin bed quilt for her. On a side note, sorry I was so addled, I had oral surgery the day before. A few items I use...

Punta Gorda, Florida, 4 Days Post Hurricane Milton
Просмотров 63Месяц назад
This is just a little bit of Punta Gorda, Florida, 4 days after Hurricane Milton. Punta gorda had a great deal of flooding from storms surge 2 weeks before, when Hurricane Helen came through. The storm surge from Milton was even worse. The boats in the park, and the little bit of the houses along this stretch are just a small part. Many of the downtown businesses were destroyed during Helene, a...

Thank you so much! She said it got a lot of tickets in its bag!
It is beautiful and looks easy. Thank you for sharing how you made it.
@@donnarichey144 Thank you so much, and you are welcome.

@@nancylarson3362 thank you
Only just found you. You did good, but what a sad story. Your fabric choice I love. Very much a happy quilt. Liked and subscribed ❤
Thanks for subbing!
This came out so well! I love that you left the borders off, looks more modern. Wonderful project for your granddaughter to learn from!
Thank you so much. It did really go fast, even for an 8 year old. Her aunt, and everyone at the baby shower were very impressed that she made it!
Your quilt turned out beautiful front and back! I love the colors and the process. I also love the main reasons for your quilts and would love to do the same. I have just subscribed to your channel and will be watching more from you. Thanks for sharing!!
@@conniefincher5488 Thank you so much! I will definitely have more coming!
Wow! That quilt turned out beautiful!! And what a beautiful thing you and your friend do

It came out a treat. I love it. ❤
Thanks so much! My daughter loved it!
Love what you did here. Love your fabric selection, your easy to follow instructions and especially loved your pieced back. Look forward to seeing more of your work. ❤
Thank you so much!
❤❤❤
Thank you!
love the back too
Thanks, I make a lot of pieced backs if I have fabric left from the front. It saves me on backing fabric.
Beautiful quilt. Love the colours.
Thank you so much, I really like working with the bright colors
Beautiful quilt💗and beautiful cause. Do you have the link to the free pattern?

Did you slaughter them by yourself?
@@carliobenzio7230 Yes I did. Very easy.
@@weegardenhomestead805 How do you do the slaughtering? There are so many ways shown here.
I like your over the stove percolator where did get that one?
@@gloriacauthron Thank you. It was my mom's. When I was a kid, we used to spend summers on a boat, and she used it every morning on a camp stove.
Just give him to me I’ll take him 😢
I’ve been ordering from Azure for three plus years with only one delay. Like you, the truck broke down. Any items that weren’t up to par were refunded. If I remember correctly the only thing that was beyond use was a block of cheese.
Awesome! Thanks so much for letting me know. I will definitely be ordering again!
The azure brand granola is really good.
Thanks so much! we will have to give it a try
Azure has a great customer service call center, you can give them a quick call and find out the answer. I know I have not had delays like that, it sounds like just some unfortunate circumstances. Our biggest delay is if we don't have our usual driver, who is always wayyy early on our delivery day. Typically so early that many have not even showed up to help unload the truck. Great start, though, good video :) You will really enjoy the jars, the weight of them, the quality, is just phenomenal.
Thanks so much! Probably it was just a fluke. I will definitely order again. Not worth calling, like I said, I only had non perishables. Just hard to make a plan to pick up if it keeps changing, and one of the changes was because of the storm, and totally understandable.
Ty!
You are welcome!

Id like to see how you did it. They look great.

Very controversial, but trimming promotes growth. I will say it a million times over. Everytime I have trimmed whether it be my own hair or my plants…. It always grows more after the cut…
I was definitely on the fence about doing it. I have done it before, and it didn't work, maybe I trimmed too low. It definitely worked this time, though, and I will probably do it again.
The garlic looks amazing! I must try that.
It worked really well. I need to get the rest of that bag done! Thanks so much for watching!
You could freeze your okra, a few pieces at a time until you get enough in one bag and then start on the next bag. That's what I would do at least.
@@SuzieQTrainwreckThank you so much! I have been freezing quite a bit. Some of it breaded, and now just blanched for stews.
Lots of work and I enjoyed the video even in spite of loosing some footage! I've never tried the coleslaw but see it so much and people seem to do it every year so I'm missing something. This year I'll try some for sure.
Thanks so much. It is basically just pickled cabbage, but it is so yummy!
Been meaning to do this for months😅 yours look great
Thanks so much! It was super easy, and we had leftover filling for lunch! There will be more info on how I did them in my week 2 video. I did decide to vac seal them, in pairs.
Looks really good
Thank you!
Absolutely not cheating.
OH, good! Thank you!
