It’s still a hard game, new players aren’t even taught what tempo is or how to vent. Once you sink hours and hours into the game, that’s when it becomes trivial. It’s almost as if that’s how a game is?

Not even one second in and i have an answer for this question. No. I have played this game with month long streaks, i quit because i just cannot kill voidwalkers who are majorly outskilling me, outgearing me and outleveling me. I refuse to use a wiki as that is not how games are supposed to be played and any game who requires you to use the wiki to figure out how to beat the game is (and im sorry to shatter your low expectation ceilings for games) not a game. If you are new jump into the game learn a bit its incredibly difficult but as games are supposed to be you learn from the mistakes and start getting better. THAT DOES NOT APPLY WHEN SOMEONE WHO IS SUPERIOR IN EVERY REGARD JUMPS YOU FROM GOD KNOWS WHERE. I can not be the only one, but i learn by fighting enemies that i have the ability to land something on, if i do not have a feeling of succeeding at anything the enemy will feel flawless, as if he has a bottomless well of hp and i will not be able to find and adapt to mistakes and learn from them. Even tho deepwoken might be easy for the people who have played it for years on end, the average player will quit after 2-5 wipes after reaching power 13-14 and getting destroyed by max level high geared shadow walkers

Apart from the fact that shrine of order has removed build creativity, all of these talking points are straight garbage. The game hasn't become easier. The gameplay hasn't become less fun. It's just that you have played it for hundreds of hours and know so much about it that you trivialised it. It doesn't matter how much the devs "fix" things to your liking because you'll still reach a point where you're once again good at the game. It's the same thing as people saying that Minecraft is not fun any more. You just changed.

Okay so first thing: You're just good compared to most of the players because you spent a lot of time playing it Shrine of Order is hard capped to take at max 25 points per stat and reallocate them It doesn't enable you to "perfect" a build, instead it allows you to empower your builds by removing stats which aren't useful, like willpower Being able to reroll talents and mantras to perfect your build is literally a means to just not have to gamble your way through a constant mindless grind of make build -> wipe build -> make build -> wipe build -> ... until it eventually works out Luck was a flawed mechanic because it required extraordinary amount of kills simply for one level up. It gatekept the players who were playing the game without tryharding from even getting remotely far, as they would be farmed by power 60's who'd knock you and then let their freshie mates wail on you so they would recieve the luck, and they were defenseless since they never had the chance of obtaining such a build Diluvian is difficult and you only went to wave 25, the difficulty continues to go up and as such does the loot. A normal player who just copies a build from youtube will not see nearly the same results as you did, because they simply are not that good. Even the process of making such a build is difficult for a player who's not been playing the game for 2 years. Just... play another game

Deepwoken before release had WAYYY more exploration than any other era

I heavily agree with that talents take you had around 5:00, I'd make a build and not get something and just either wipe and remake the build or just say "whatever" and carry on, now there's people crying they dont have enough talent slots to get every talent optimal for their build it's actually pathetic and it's made pvp so unfun because everyone has the highest potential on their builds so it's all just become cheese

I don't think deepwoken is too easy, I think people just got too good at it. Modern deepwoken isn't hard for you because you actually know how to play the game. Most of your explanations for why the game is too easy is that builds got too op and too simple to make. But if a new player were to start playing they would probably take like 20+ hours to progress their first power 20 build, and it probably would be complete garbage. I feel like half the stuff in this video is explained by nostalgia. Be real, luck was a trash system and the super rare legendary weapons were a pain in the ass when you wanted to make a build with a legendary weapon.

I f/w shrine of order heavy cus most ppl I know would make the same "25/40 str, 50 frt, 25/40 agi, 20/25 wp, 25 cha, 80 attunement rest in weapon" builds. Shrine of order allows me to make unique builds. I know not everyone is doing that, but the fact that I can is nice.

It has become much easier ive been teaching freshies the game since prior to verse two and it has only become easier they dont need to learn how to do bosses if all they need to do is make a diluvian build to get almost everything they want in the game

no but fr, i miss luck too but i remember hating it on release because you needed it for every power up, but loving it cuz it incentified pvp but also pve. Shrine of order: i hate it, even tho i use it for every build i make, i hate it. Sure it makes alot more opportunity for builds but like.. in verse 1 if you wanted to go a lets say runner build or sum then you would need to sacrifice hp for that shit. Verse 1 pvp tho, it was unbalanced as hell however it was fast paced too, verse 2 combat is meh, it feels slow and often bores me. Venting sucks but i understand why they added it and imo the worst thing about verse 2 is the god damn traits. They made having alot of ether so accessible for everyone, before you kinda had to get intelligence or charisma if you wanted atleast decent ether but now you can just run 6 erudition and your set. Now enchants. i hate how they made them undroppable, i understand that there was alot of exploiters back then but making them undroppable and everything so common just made deepwoken so boring, the first mistake was laplace and now layer 2 deepfossil and so on, there really nothing that gets me excited to find and have in my inventory because i know that even if i died i would still keep it. idk they just gone of the rails with deepwoken. It's like they first wanted to make a game that involves around sea and exploration and it had that dark moody vibe (go watch a video in verse 1 and look at the saturation and colors and then go look at verse 2 saturation and you'll see what i'm talking about) but then it changed to whatever this is. It's more "accessible and friendly" and everything is colorful and flashy
