I think the difference with the custom is that the folding latch/lever is located at the side or lower bottom of the guitar. My ascender custom was created prior the release of ascender standard.

And with the custom you can choose your wood and hardware. The only thing I regret is not customizing the inlays. The electronics and pickups that comes with my ascender custom is all fine with me. (500k CTS pots, sprague orange drop capacitor, switchcraft input jack, Seymour Duncan JB59 pickups bridge and neck). My ascender custom specs is as follows. @stephenmc6017 thank you. Guitar still plays really well. It's the guitar I'm bringing if I go to work in a minesite here in the Pilbara, Western Australia. Airport security though would still ask me everytime what's in my backpack even though I brought it everytime I fly in to work. They were surprised everytime I let them open the backpack.😊 It hold its tune really well when I play it. The guitar action is also perfect for me. Ciari guitars are pleck'd by the way so for me it's really good.

The guitar took 2 weeks for it to arrive in Perth, Western Australia. And I also paid customs tax.

Sorry to be a pain, how much was the customs tax? How is the guitar going after a bit of time living/playing it?

I haven't used the guitar for a while due to daddy duties and work. My Ciari Ascender is still solid. I only use it for practice.

It's Keter folding table in US Same one just rebranded in Aus . Much cheaper only $50 in US. If you buy it in Aus, its $160 which is triple the price than US Most of tools are very very overpriced in Aus because the distributors taking a lot of profits out of them. I don't buy tools if doesn't need in hurry in Sydney tools or Bunnings.
