I really feel like Ivy knew deep down in her heart during the entire series of the show that Theresa was the one who was truly meant to be with Ethan and not Gwen but that she just kept falling prey to Rebecca's crazy schemes, plots, and false accusations about Theresa. If you looked really closely at Ivy during certain times when Ethan and Theresa were together, she looked genuinely happy for them and looked like she wanted them to be together all along instead of Ethan being with Gwen. But that's just my theory. I could be very wrong about that.
