For all the people who say just don't eat anything, I offer the following interjection: Just don't eat any sugar. Fructose and alcohols of all kinds are deadly to the liver. Glucose makes fat and that is hard on the liver. Animal sources, leafy things, cruciferous things and roots. Coconuts. Avocados. Coacoa powder in avo is awesome. Egg in coffee is great. Glycine is sweet! Whipped cream. And, when you DO eat a small amount of sugar from some strawberries or blueberries, you will be in sugar shock heaven. There is no depravation after you get over the hump of craving as you lose your taste for sugar.

I changed my A1c within two weeks, from 5.1 to 4.5. First week keto diet with two meals and 14 hours fasting. Second week low carb diet with approximately 150 carb a day. One tablespoon apple cider vinegar before each meal, 30 min fast walking after 15 min of finishing each meal(total 1 hour walking daily) I lose 4 kg weight as well. It was really easy pizzy cheesy I had to lower my A1c because l am pregnant and in week 6 l knew my blood sugar is on the borderline so l don’t want to get gestational diabetes.

Thank you for your video. Slightly different issue... what do you do if you have polycythemia vera, and your iron is now super low from all the phlebotomies? To get my blood viscosity back into safe range, I have had quit a few phlebotomies and am down at 6.9. I will need a phleb. every 4-6 weeks now, so it will be had to ever raise it again, and I am actually told not to raise my iron! Isn't it bad if you go for long periods with severely low iron? The medications for PV are harmful, I don't want to take them to slow down the rate of phlebotomies and simply trade one set of health issues for another set a few years down the road... And how can my serum iron be high, but my ferritin be low? Is that a problem with Hepcidine regulation? JAK2 PV is an iron tug of war....what to do...I've read a lot, solutions seen elusive.

Take Vitron C 65mg every other day in the mornings on an empty stomach at least one hour before eating. Also, you may want to check for H Pylori because that nasty gut bacteria lives off your iron and over half the population has it. If your stool is black, then go to a colonoscopy to be on the safe side. No way you would lose that much blood to take you to a 4 ferritin if you were bleeding through the intestinal tract. Your stool would be black. Most likely an absorption issue due to low stomach acid and/or H Pylori. Low stomach acid from taking acid reducing medications can kill your iron levels. A lot to this. BTW, I've been in healthcare some 30 years with training in integrative functional medicine. Take care.

Supplement with Vitron C 65mg every other day on an empty stomach first thing in the mornings about an hour before eating. At 13 your body can't function properly even if you have normal RBC and hemoglobin. Should be at least 100! BTW, I've been in healthcare some 30 years with training in integrative functional medicine. Check for H-Pylori infection because that nasty bacteria lives off your iron. Also, never ever take acid reducing medications because that will kill your ability to absorb iron and other minerals as well as protein.

15 years ago I was very fit . I was told I had fatty liver with excess liver enzymes in the blood.with no explanation of how to get rid of it. Looked up the cause . Too many carbs especially fructose and the liver cells bursting. I decided that I found it easier not to eat than to restrict food so pick Mondays to not to eat just drink water. The rest of the week for lunch I would have a massive mixed salad with minimal carbs garnished with either salad cream or soup or a spicy sauce. Accompanying the salad I would have tuna or boiled eggs or sardines. I would have a normal dinner in the evening. Month later the enzymes had gone to within normal range. A heavy salad everyday is easy.

He is also wrong to conflate red peppers with sugar. The body metabolizes different nutrients in different ways. It turns out that sugar and alcohol are both metabolized similarly from a biochemical perspective, but not all the foods he listed have a similar amount of fructose.
