I can't get over how much play those yokes have...they're all over the place. Imagine if your automobile's steering wheel had that much play in it. Look everyone...it's a C-2, it's a C-2. One of my shipmates onboard CV-41 absolutely loved C-2's, every time he'd see one he'd yell out...it's a C-2, it's a C-2. When he passes on to the next life I'm sure he will end up in C-2 Heaven. Up to the bow now for a FOD Walkdown. Gents it's a good evening for a green flash. Wow it's really dark out there!
I'm guessing you haven't seen the videos from the USS Forrestal in 1963, where they were exploring the feasibility of the C-130 Hercules landing and taking off from aircraft carriers. Here's the kicker. They did NOT use arresting cables to land, and they did NOT use a catapult for taking off!! 😮 ruclips.net/video/ZGy2ppViCck/видео.html Enjoy... 😃
Сесть на спичечный коробок .в океане ,ночью.это вообще охуительно....ребята молодцы....Это пожалуй можно сравнить с ночными прыжками с парашютом ,ну для меня по крайней мере
I Did half of the 79/80 Kennedy cruise and the next 2 FID Cruises as a Torchbearer. I did my Department Head tour as a Steeljaw for 2 cruises on the FID. Night traps in the back of a Hummer were dark, dark, dark, light steel stop.

Rave at 2:39
what a coincidence. There was a high school girl nicknamed "SCREWTOPS".
How can anyone not like the Hawkeye? Cool aircraft, pilots, aircrew, and maintainers.
Wait, how could you fail to mention the cool paint job on the radar dome? Screwtops rock!
Was that Rob Roy at 1:34 ?
Closed doors are overrated on an aircraft. 😁
Get a real job, you sponge.
4-6 straight hours in the hood.....uggghhhh hated those days with a passion.
Dang
Northrop Grumman E-2 Hawkeye (I think)
Obviously yes
Thanks Glenn - it isn’t so “obvious” to everyone. 👍🏼
You are correct...👍🏻
Get rid of the music
Thanks for sharing.
Now that's cool 👍
Okay that's a new I never noticed the escape hatch being open during my years working on the flight deck.
You’re a Rockstar
Now that's a different view.
-VS 82 NAS ALameda, excellent video, brings back memories.
I've never seen a night carrier landing, I guess I never thought about that, but that looks even more scary as fuck.
VAQ 135 Det 1 Alameda...long time ago..... Badass video!!
Good video
Music ruined the video. Actual sound next time.
Btw how do you land that fat ass mf plane on a carrier, prolly the hardest plane to land on a carrier

Clickbate. This is a music video, not an airplane vid.
Greetings from a former Screwtop aboard CV-66 82-84
Does the guy in the right seat get to fly?
Yea, when the left seat needs a nap.
