Oh wow you can really hear the change in his voice in this, can't you? This is where it started. He keeps changing the way he sings to try to find his voice... Anyway there's no denying that they were shit hot and on fire 🔥 Definitely very inspired. Haven't heard Guns N' Roses sound like this in a very long time.

See this is when Axl should have got back with Slash and Duff but as Slash even admitted his ex wife Perla Hudson was always the one who stopped it happening , Once Slash ditched her the dark clouds vanished.

Axl sounding good. I wonder when Micky Mouse took over exactly.
Axl had some sickness that was never disclosed up until now in between year 2009-2012. His peak was 2006 but as it approaches 2010 it was noticeable his breathing and stamina is getting worse even when he is not fat that time. When they returned in 2012 he was fat as a result of medical recovery and rest. Ever since then he got the mickey mouse voice..he recovered somewhat half of his vocal power around 2016, especially in Houston shows(god that was so great). But since 2017 he keeps on getting back and forth to okay to bad. Problem with Axl is in his age he still moves a lot on stage and he is doing 3hrs and more per show. It is not an intensity his age should be capable. Even Steven Tyler in his 60's had good voice quality but really do not do concerts that long and he doesn't move the way Axl exhaust himself on stage.
I want to say after 2010. I'm convinced that the 2010 tour permanently damaged his voice. Unlike 2006, where he had balance, he went full throttle 80s for like the entire tour.
This performance is closer in time to the Use Your Illusions tour than the reunited lineup is to this

Honestly better than 1988 his technique is so much better so he can hit those notes easier and it sounds bettter

miss that voice from Axl,better times from his comeback.i saw him last summer and his voice is well...his voice,but I enjoyed their concert,and Slash in front of me ,maybe 10 ms,almost for 4 hours was incredible.
Saw them on the first part of the not in this lifetime tour 2016. In Orlando. One of the best concerts I've ever seen. Axls voice stole the show right behind slashes tone!!!

His voice is so much excellent in 2006 and 2016. Not forced, not haywire. A beautiful power perfectly controlled like a master. In the 90's, his voice was powerful but messy, mostly being forced. Here Axl was like some demigod perfectly in command of every inch of his voice.

Since you don't really know the technical side of music, you just rely on your feelings to back up your arguments like a total fanboy.
this lineup was levels above anything the reunited lineup can offer, they are just in a world alone. the solos alone and the attitude on stage fro everyone. Even Axl felt it. this is the best live GnR lineup.

@@donovanz1049 Very..it's the same reason why GnR was shortlived. Slash never learned any other technique aside from incorporating blues in rock melody. And since Izzy left, his leads became more and more stale and plain.
