Awesome podcast ! We’ll done Gentleman with the Legends of 2004 🇬🇷 Euro Cup Champions
What an incredible interview by the OuzoTalk boys. Memories of these Euros brings so much emotion, getting up early and heading to the then Mythos in Leichhardt, showing the games live. They won against the host nation twice, the previous Euro champions and 1998 WC winners, and the favourites to win that year(Czechs) Captain Zagorakis, incredible cross in France game, and the Charisteas header, perfect technique. George Clooney in goals, coach King Otto Rehagel. So many moments. Brighton during celebrations with my family unforgettable. Greece simply deserved that title. It is still a huge story to tell.
Bravo Boythes. Such happy memories 😊
Thanks for the analysis! I need some advice: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
I could listen to Stephen talk all day, he’s so well read. A treat.
We must always remember when we meet elderly people that they were not always old and they have a story to tell, listen to them when you have the chance.
Great conversation with the amazing Stephen Fry, thank you all!
Amazing as always.
And 30 years later, still in the same black leather jacket spinning the same routine, all to make a buck. You are our very own Gilligan
What a wonderful PR event it would be the museum.
Absolutely!

“When the entire world had lost all hope, the Greek people dared to question the invincibility of the German monster raising against it the proud spirit of freedom.” Franklin Roosevelt 👏🏽
I have been in and out of Greece for the last 10 years. As of two years ago my family and I officially moved here. There isn’t a day that goes by that I am not touch by the spirit of the Greek people. It is an honour and a privilege to call this my home away from home. I come from a family of Syrian and Iraqi Jews who fled their homelands. The Syrians escaped because of the Turks during WW1. The Iraqis escaped when the government became pro Nazi. This was one of the oldest Jewish communities in the world. They had been in “Babylon” for over 3,000 years… Among another ancient Jewish community was that of Crete, which had been there for 2,500 years before being exterminated by the Germans. The Greek people feel to me like cousins. The Greek spirit reminds me of the spirit in the early days of present day Israel when we were outnumbered and outgunned yet succeeded to push back the invading armies of Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria, like you pushed the Italians back into Albania in 1940. I see in the Greek people this undying spirit, love for humanity and for what is right. The fact that you resisted the Germans, despite being and impoverished nation, more than any other country (even France), speaks volumes about the fabric of your collective Greek soul. You are a people simultaneously proud and humble. You are wise and above all your hearts and sense of morality stay forever in tact. Bless you my beloved Greek cousins… Peace to the Mediterranean and to the rest of the world.
Stunning ✨

Thanks for your insights. We can't really speak on whether there are any Arbëreshë people in Calabria - although we suspect there would be! But there are most definitely Greeks (or Greko) in Calabria.

32:40 the admiral says the quiet part out loud - why would Russia need to defend that 600 miles? NATO is purely defensive, right? Right?
Καταπληκτικός σολίστας, δάσκαλος και πραγματικά μεγάλος μουσικός...
Super cool 😂😊
Please talk less and play many more songs! This is because 'Talk is cheap!' ... and music is GREAT !!
We would LOVE to! Unfortunately copyright prevents us from including more music in our episodes, but we'll be having many more discussions about music in future.
Wow it was an amazing programme, bunch of thanks
Glad you liked it!
The sound is really really low. On full volume and still have to hold it next to my ear koubare
As a Greek, you can immediately tell the speaker is Greek from how he pronounces "Ιωάννης Μεταξάς".
Correct.
One of the best podcasts I have listened to, being Greek myself it truly resonated with me this particular podcast with Nick and he is spot on, humour allows us to listen and understand to the underlying and sometimes obvious messages well done. Love this podcast!!!
Only one Greek word in the whole interview. Yiayia. Come on !
Unfortunately Mark's Greek isn't where he would like it to be - but make no mistake, he is very proud of his heritage.
I get you Mary, I grew up the same in Sydney suburbs and like you came out on top !,!!
Love it! Hope you enjoyed the episode!
Very cool
I thought he was referring to Onassis before he went back 2500 years .

Effie is funniest when she throws in a couple of Greek words as she is talking. Every one had cousins like that in the 80s.
Not just in the 80s! Still happens now!
