Should i get legacy metroplex or Guardian robot?

I had this figure brand new in 2005. I've owned/ sold it off at least 2 times. I'm nostalgic for it now

Zakus don't hold their rifles at that angle. The circle on the elbow faces upward.

Started mine today. There's an odd sheen gloss on the red, so i sanded it down.

I don't think the shellforming is too egregious on this figure, since only part of it is formed by a shell, and the shell is not extremely obtrusive kibble wise in robot mode. this is a lovely figure i hope to own someday when you have two wildly different modes, sometimes shellforming is the only way to make that possible with perfect transformation

Its called “ color-separation”. It creates detail but more importantly it gives the normally monotone colors (the origin) some depth. 2.0, 3.0, and the origin all have the same range of motion, and id rather have a core fighter so 3.0 is a better choice depending…..

I finally got around to fixing my led eye. ended up needing to really stretch the springs on the metal connections.

That sounds like an anime accurate Aegis, it just wants to blow up 😂 but beelzemon and the majority of the digimon line is amazing

I'm new to this hobby, but I feel like they should refresh these Zaku models.. there not many zaku unit, and the sazabi already crazy looking for MG. imagine if they add Sazabi to PG kit, or refresh this Zaku II. I think they did to sazabi, when they made the metal version, and that kit sold out super quick, apparently. So, now people are reselling it for 3k plus online..

When you build kits like this over time you gain the "experience" with this type of kit you can always go further just like those talented artists for this one here. It looks like a canvas you can customize... Paint. Add few metal parts to it. Weather it. Install lighting system.

Bandai really had the audacity to drop this in 1999 with Ver 1.0 stamped on the box and still haven't given us a 2.0 25 years later, or a PGU

I find it interesting to transform. Some things have aged as expected, but there are some things like the proportion of die cast and gimmicks that still outperform recent editions.

My guy never built a real grade before based on his complaints about color separation.

When doing size comparisons, you should probably use figures that aren't so obscure

This kit is from 1999. They NEED to make a new perfect grade for the Zaku instead of making the RX-78 for the millionth time.

I was considering getting this or the green one for my first perfect grade. I think visually it looks like a high grade honestly.. i hope they remake this kit soon since its been nearly 25years since its release.

oh you haven't seen the 1:1 Gundam in Odaiba? 3.0 is based on that design. So I don't know what weird you are talking about.

Origin hands down. Effect parts, insanely sturdy, the best posability of any MG pre Dynames, gorgeous eggshell white color, agressive face and shoulder canon. 2.0 is solid. 3.0 we don't talk about.

Wrong, the 2.0 is the best, try again The Origin is an interesting take on the manga version. But it is a reflection of The Origin redesign, not the anime. The 2.0 is the one that looks like it walked out of the anime. It is the most accurate sculpt bar none. On top of solid 2.0 frame. That said, The Origin Manga is amazing, so it's okay.

Very nice. Curious to see what her beast form looks like without the detachable backpack. And the spider head gun doesn’t have the string? The original also had the kicking mechanism, so I think I prefer it. What does it look like next to the original?

It's normal for the 3.0 to be inaccurate to the anime. Same as the RG cos both are based on the RX-78-2 statue in Odaiba Tokyo which was later replaced by the Unicorn.

the best RX-78-2 is ver 2.0. not ORIGIN, origin is good!but no core fighter. and the frame is so simple than ver 2.0. , BTW ver 3.0 is a trash
