Love the AF. Not as good as Sony's, but I've been happily using it at weddings and rely on it:) I sold a lot of my lenses for this one as well!

The sigma is actually a tiny bit lighter than my old setup so it's actually no problem for me. I am very used to carrying a gimbal all day now though. All day shot at 30fps. I film in 6k so I was able to punch in a lot that way. I had a 1/8 mist filter on. I can't really tell a difference in sharpness and quality between the sigma and the primes. Which is important to me because a lot of zoom lenses look very 'zoomy' if that makes sense lol. My pleasure! Glad I can help.

@@CreatedByCal that’s cool thank you so much for taking time in answering! Now I have a few other questions, or analysis, if you will. This lens range is poor and we all know it, but using the various crop inside the camera such as the 4k 60p or the 6k 30p + high estab (crop 1.4) And again 4k 60p + high estab (crop 2x) you basically get various ranges without switching lens and always benefitting of the 1.8 quality. If you end up shooting 4k 60p + high estab it literally becomes a 56 - 90 lens. Have you tried all these different crop factors? It’s interesting because you “supposedly” don’t loose quality, but is that so? Of course when you have a 2x crop and the 45 becomes a 90 it’s not like having a 90 on with its natural compression, but is it still good and useable quality? Thank you so much and sorry for the many questions but if that’s the case then this lens becomes more and more useful!

@@RobertoVolta I find the focal length perfect for how I film. I only ever used to use a 35mm prime on my camera and only ever wished to be a bit wider or tighter at certain points. So 28-45 fits my needs perfectly for that. I did have a second shooter that was on a differently focal length to me throughout the day. You're right, its technically not the same when cropped in because of compression etc. I don't ever use any of the crop mode so I can't comment on it sorry. I'd doubt the image quality would change drastically though.

@@jakfilms I used to use the 1/4 for ages. Went with the 1/8 now since moving to a zoom lens.

@@jakfilmsI’ve been told that a 1/4 affects different focal lengths differently. More apparent on tighter lengths than wider, so I thought I’d play it safe and get a bit weaker just so I don’t go to overboard on my image accidentally. When I was on my 35mm I just stuck with the 1/4 and it was fine most the time

Not a lot of people know about this trick!

For this wedding I didn't use an adapter, just native lumix lenses. But when I use cine glass, I use a simple manual canon ef - L mount adapter. Nothing special.

Good idea! I'll make a video about it? Have you been able to find useful information regarding it? I was able to get it up and running efficiently so I'll make it into a little video.

@@CreatedByCal please create a video explaining it. There seems to be conflicting information about ppl needing the entire gimbal system & some saying you don’t. A bit of clarity on how it works will help a lot! Thanks in advance

@@oman4229 from what I am aware. You need the gimbal to set it up initially, but then once you have calibrated the lenses, you can use without

Thanks! The range finder is great in most conditions. Even in the dark. It struggles with dense fog I have found. Maybe because the sensors can't pass through the mist properly. I have used the lidar with native lumix lenes! It worked pretty well. Not as good as if you had manual lenses but was very surprised at how it bypased the S1H contrast based autofocus. Made it much better. When I have the Lidar and manual cine lenses, I can get about 2 1/2 to 3 hours. I carry a vmount battery that I clip to my belt so I can keep it running for maybe an extra 2-3 hours. I wouldn't recommend the Lidar + Lumix lens combo because it will drain the camera and gimbal battery REALLY fast. So will be a lot of swapping batteries for both.

I do have that lens but have only used it a handful of times. Never used it for any professional work but it seemed decent when I used it! I would never choose that lens over any of my lumix primes however.@@JMXCzw
